Nefandum is an English speaking 10-man raiding guild on Al'Akir. While having a semi-casual approach on PvE, our goal is to clear all current content and to have fun while doing it.

The guild was formed in July 2009. Since then, we have been struggling for the sake of progress. In Ulduar, we earned [Glory of the Ulduar Raider] and defeated Algalon. When Call of the Crusade sounded, we completed [A Tribute to Insanity] in a rather adequate time frame. In Icecrown Citadel, we achieved [Glory of the Icecrown Raider] and killed The Lich King on heroic mode. Wrath of the Lich King ended successfully for us by defeating Halion on heroic mode as the third guild on the server.

In the middle of the first raiding tier of Cataclysm many of the core raiders were heavily occupied in real life duties, so we decided to take a bigger break from raiding. No raiding was done until the end of the expansion.

When Mists of Pandaria was released, many of our core raiders had returned to WoW. We reformed the guild during the first tier (T14) of raiding.

We try to keep our raiding roster as small as possible to maintain a solid and constant 10-man raid group for every raid. This is accomplished by recruiting people who can show up for raids often.

Our current raiding times and days:

20.00 - 00.00 (Wednesday)
19.00 - 00.00 (Sunday)
20.00 - 00.00 (Tuesday)

The raiding times get often extended, if you have to leave every time exactly at 00.00, it's not worth applying.

On Saturdays, we tend to organize alt-raids, but these are voluntary.

While we don't require you to raid every day, showing up for progression raids is vital for guild's progress. We do not tolerate people who are raiding just for loot and intentionally skipping progression raids since they don't like to wipe. Wiping, a.k.a learning the encounters is an unavoidable process that is required for progressing. If you are not used to it, you won't last here for long.

We expect our recruits to be highly motivated, competitive, and active. If you are interested in joining, you must be on top of your game. Doing theorycraft about your class is a big advantage.

In addition to playing skills, the recruit is required to have a mature attitude and social skills. After all, raiding is about teamwork. We are not interested of whiners nor arrogant elitists. If you like to flame others or play a caps-lock-warrior, don't bother.
