“Charisma” Guild

Charisma is a newly founded ten-man raiding guild on horde. We have made this guild because we want to create something different to what's on offer currently. We predominantly come from Azjol-Nerub server where we were a part of the horde-first 25 man guild but after becoming increasingly frustrated because of other raiders defile surfing and so on, we decided to establish our own guild.


Progression:

Between us we have experience of all the raiding content that the game has had to offer and we have chosen to make our guild exclusively for extremely skilled raiders. However, I feel that it is important to stress that we are not that stereotypical guild where a raid leader yells at people over vent and you fail your trial for a couple of mistakes. The core of the guild knows each other really well and we can rely on each other to play well but perhaps the best part of raiding for us is having a laugh while we do it. We don't think being unforgiving and finickity about everything creates a fun environment to play in and that old cliché "it's just a game" is definitely appropriate when describing our attitude.


However, even though we aren't elitist, we are looking for good players. Here is a guideline as to what we're looking for:


1. People who can play their class and know it inside out. We all theorycraft when new patches are released and want to find players who do the same to maximise their performance.


2. People who are reliable. We don't expect our raiders to be available for every raid but going offline for long periods of time without some kind of warning or not showing up when you sign (unless it's for an exceptional reason, of course) just makes everybody else frustrated.


3. A certain degree of maturity; we are all the kind of people who make slightly immature and sometimes tasteless jokes and we want to have a laugh. However, we don't want our guild name being tarnished by trade spammers or ninja-looters. We won't have an age limit though because a lot of people over 18 are complete idiots and a lot of people under 18 are really nice and very mature. We'll base any decisions on the individual, not their age.


4. A high level of activity. All of us have lives too but we do spend quite a considerable amount of our time on the game and we will be aiming to level quickly when Cataclysm is released and want to start raiding as soon as possible. When new content is released, we will probably be raiding about 4 nights a week and it's better if a group is consistent, to maximise progress. Also we love to mess around outside of raids and will probably be causing some trouble world pvping; rated battlegrounds and arena will also be very popular in the guild once cataclysm is released.


5. We want everybody to have a microphone/headset and be comfortable speaking/listening to ventrilo or skype. Raiding is much easier if everybody can communicate efficiently, also we think raiding will be much more fun if we're having a laugh over vent at the same time. Having said this, during progression we don't want a free-for-all, we want focussed raiding, so the trait of knowing when to have a laugh and when to keep quiet and listen is important.
