About us:

We're a fairly mature guild, we have an 18+ policy but most of our members are between 20-50 years old. This gives the guild quite a laid back air. You won't find raid leaders shouting at people on vent or threatening minus dkp etc. On the flip side because we are pretty laid back you need to be self motivated, keeping up to date on tactics etc without someone telling you to do it. We also push for hardmodes, not necessarily out to beat other guilds, we just play at our own pace, having fun while we do and don't do too bad progress wise.

Our raid days are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday from 20:00 to 23:00 game time.

To sum up what you could expect from us:

* A stable raiding environment with mature members who understand wow is a game.
* Help and advice with your class, spec, tactics on fights. We're quite open minded to trying new ideas, spec and tactics in raids. I know from a healer point of view we play around with different setups and specs quite a lot. Iv seen guilds say things like they wouldn't bring a disc priest to a raid under any circumstance, which is an attitude we just find perplexing. We test things out, have a chat, see what we think. Does it help the raid? Is it viable? What do people think? etc
* If you pass your trial and get promoted to raider the guild bank will (when it has the gold) pay a good proportion of your raid repair bills. However it should be understood its a luxury, we have managed to keep this going for 99% of raids but if the guild bank is low on money people are going to have to dig into their own pockets. The guild bank also provides fish feasts for just about every fight, but on the very rare occasion its out then you should be ready with your own food buff.

What we expect from you:

* Self motivated, you need to be able to look things up for yourself and turn up to raids ready.
* No drama or elitism, if you think having better gear than other people is a good enough reason to put them down then we're really not the place for you. The same goes for anger problems and the like, if playing wow makes you want to shout at people and threaten them then you're looking for a different type of guild to the one we're offering.
* Pretty regular attendence, we don't really enjoy recruiting two people to fill one spot, We'd be looking at getting a 3-4 day attendance out of people who apply.
* To be able to put up with wiping again and again and again and again......you get the idea Our Sarth3D kill took 183 wipes, we weren't really in good gear for it, but still went back day after day and got the alliance first 30-40 days ahead of all other alliance guilds. I guess by world ranks it wasn't a fast kill (19th of January I believe.....so pretty slow) but it took some sticking power and a lot of wiping, felt good once he died.
* Not to be a loot #!!*#. This will not go down very well with us. We use a closed bidding dkp system but a lot of the time the gear is passed to the person who needs it most. You should be able to understand that its raid > you when it comes to gear. We'll never not give the gear to whoever bidded most on it but we like people who can see the bigger picture. A good example of this is that the healers all jointly decided to not bid on the “Trophies of the Crusade” because we decided we had the healing power to heal hardmodes in our current gear and that the Trophies would be better used for DPS or Tanking gear.

If you think you'd be interested in giving Tasteful Pain a go and raiding with us you can contact Iolana (Melee DPS), Breseis or Ònur (Healers), Zóhar or Chronia (Ranged DPS), Twotiger (Tanks) or simply go apply on our forum at http://www.tastefulpain.com.

Even if we are not currently recruiting your particular class and spec exceptional applications will always be considered. Sell yourself well :)
