About Slice of Life

Slice of Life is a progression raiding guild who plan to exclusively run 10 man raids in Cataclysm.
The majority of our members are friends who have been raiding together on and off since Karazhan.
We no longer have the desire to deal with the constant drama associated with larger guilds so we are focusing on building a solid tight knit group to progress with.

That said, our goal is to prioritize quality raiding over quantity. We are here to raid 3 days a week with professionalism and dedication.
We don't want to waste 5 days, 5 hours each night, week after week cause some people can't run away from a Vengeful Shade,
decide that running to the raid with Frost Beacon is a good idea, or can't keep a single Mark of the Fallen Champion target up.
We simply don't have time to brute force an encounter. We like to perfect strategies AND we want the job done in 3 days.

While our 3 day raiding schedule isn’t demanding our expectations are. We plan to push for 100% completion of the upcoming expansion.
Hard modes, achievements, titles and mounts are all mandatory.
On the PvP side, we will also part-take in rated battlegrounds on off-nights.

Our raiding schedule:

Wednesday 7:00 pm server time - 10.00 pm server time.
Thursday - 7:00 pm server time - 10.00 pm server time.
Sunday - 7:00 pm server time - 10.00 pm server time.
Monday or tuesday raid if nessesary.

There might be an extra raid day during progression pushes, depending on the situation such a day will most likely be a Monday 7:00 pm server time to 10.00 pm server time.

Raid Spots/Rotation at Slice of Life:

Slice of Life has decided to go with a 14 man setup for our 10 man raiding in Cataclysm. Roughly it will look like this:

3 tanks (2 in raid)
4 healers (3 in raid)
7 dps (5 in raid)

This is the maximum number of raid spots available. It also means that each member of the team will need to sit out 1 raid per week, and that the various players are responsible for organizing their individual sitouts with their fellow team mates.

What we expect from you:

We expect all our raid members to come prepared, this means:

Know the encounter:
Research the encounters before we get there. Read and watch the materials we post on our forums...and add your own suggestions. We want raiders that are actively involved in problem solving encounters.

Optimize your character to the specific encounters:
Just knowing the mechanics of the encounter is not enough, you need to figure out how to best adopt your class to the mechanics in question, aka. making alterations to talent trees, glyphs etc that may enhance personal as well as overall raid performance.

Listen to feedback/suggestions:
The feedback given to you in raids is done to help you and the raid improve and progress. It is not personal and we need our raiders to accept that. Long discussions about tactics and classes are done on forums or are taken up with raid leaders in advance.

Don't slack:
With only 2/3 raid days per week we require dependability, so know your schedule, be on time and stay focused for the 3 hrs we raid. Quality over quantity is our goal.
