“Numen” Guild

Numen is a five day raiding guild on Draenor-EU, previously on Silvermoon-EU & Talnivarr-EU that raided until the end of Cataclysm. We are currently reforming with our eye set on raiding in Legion. The majority of the guild has killed Mythic Archimonde, but were unhappy with our previous raiding situation and atmosphere. We are convinced that with our previous experience we can do better and create a guild where people can enjoy raiding in a highly skilled and progression focused raid environment.

Recruitment

We do not recruit for the bench. The better you play, the more fights you see. We're looking to recruit people that are as good, if not better than our current players. We will never turn down exceptional applicants, so even if your class isn't listed above feel free to apply!

Background & History

Since it has been a while since Numen was around it might require some reminding of our previous noteworthy achievements and progression milestones.
Numen was originally founded in the beginning of The Burning Crusade as a 4 day raiding guild. As time passed by the drive to improve kept growing and the guild grew hungry for higher rankings, we decided to add an extra raiding day to the schedule to achieve this goal. We started off by achieving several top 10 western kills in SSC. Having acquired the taste of success, we pushed onwards and ended TBC with a World 19th kill on Kil'jaeden. Pushing onwards to Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm we achieved several noteworthy achievements and rankings along the way, a brief summary:

What can you expect from Numen

As a guild our goal is to stick to our new raiding schedule of five days a week. Our raiding times as of now are:

• Monday: 19:30 - 24:00
  
• Tuesday: 19:30 - 24:00
  
• Wednesday: 19:30 - 24:00
  
• Thursday: 19:30 - 24:00
  
• Sunday: 19:30 - 24:00
  

All raids will have a break at roughly 21:00. All times are in CET, or better known as server time. During progress if there is enough interest there will be a raid on Sunday afternoon as well, from 15:00 to 18:00. Note that this raid will not be mandatory.

Having experienced what it is like to be constantly yelled at and berated and knowing how unpleasant this type of raiding atmosphere is, we choose not to lead raids like we're in the army. We raid in a relaxed atmosphere but we are critical of mistakes and our tolerance for mistakes will be quite low to guarantee fast progression. If performance continues to be an issue we will not hesitate to swap members in and out in between pulls.
Our goals are rather ambitious so if you're looking for a guild that has the sole purpose to gear up, and then get carried through mythic, Numen isn't for you. You should expect wiping, but also a lot of fun during progress.

What does Numen expect from you?

As a potential applicant it's important to know the following:

- Gearing projects are generally frowned upon. You will need quite extensive recommendations and/or previous raiding experience for us to consider this kind of investment. This is less relevant with Legion around the corner but will definitely apply in the future.
- We strive to raid in a relaxed atmosphere, but things can get quite heated in the spur of the moment. We need you to have the ability to accept and process criticism, even though this might sometimes be expressed rather harshly. If you start talking back to the officers and/or raid leader mid-pull, we will have a problem.
- This goes side by side with the previous point, but has to be restated: Do not spam voice communication during the pull. There is a time and a place to discuss mistakes or things that might need improving. That is not during the pull, but after.
- A working microphone is required
- Don't bother applying if you don't have every spell in your spellbook keybound. Let's be honest, nowadays you have a lot less spells to worry about so there are really no excuses. Clicking and Mythic raiding just sadly don't go together.
- WeakAuras is a mandatory addon. We use WeakAuras for a lot of things and if you can't work with the addon then you better get started on learning it. We expect you to be able to fix should something go wrong with your WA's but we have quite a lot of people who can write them so, no, don't worry, we won't make you write the Wrought Chaos WA for Archimonde.
- If you're going whine about some overtime or the fact that our raidbreak is slightly late, please don't waste our and your own time because this behavior will not be tolerated. We will only extend when we are close to a new kill and if you are not willing to make some sacrifices in these situations we aren't the guild you are looking for.
- As a trial you will be expected to maintain a high attendance. Failure to do so can and will result in immediate failure of your trial should the officers decide.
- Adding logs to your application is HIGHLY recommended. We need to see how you perform in your raid environment and what numbers you can put out before we can decide whether or not you are a player we are willing to invest our time in. We are more than likely to go to a different applicant if he has logs to back up his performance and you don't.
