About us

Bad Omen is an established Emerald Dream guild. We have been around since late August of 2007, and with each content patch we are aiming higher and higher in raiding guild ranks, while keeping fun as our highest priority while raiding.
The guild has always had a good reputation on the realm, as a team of fair people regarding raiding opportunities and loot distribution, as well as good in raid and social behavior even when outside of guilds boundaries. Our old members and officers are always actively trying to preserve our good name and tradition.

What are we looking for?

We are looking to expand our current raid team. The aim is to clear all HC content in the game, once this has been achieved we will re-evaluate our goals. Taking into account the raid team, availability and time left in the current patch we will consider raiding Mythic difficulty. I must stress however at this point this is an afterthought and to be decided once the time arises.

The type of player we are looking for is dedicated and looking to get the best out of their character while also maintaining a mature and friendly demeanor. We prefer to choose the person over the character in every situation, being a highly skilled player will only get you so far. We don't expect you to be the absolute best, but to have the drive to better yourself with each raid, learning from your mistakes. You must be able to take on constructive criticism, be flexible and willing to adapt.

Being willing to adapt can be as simple as changing a talent to make a fight easier possibly sacrificing your overall output as a result. It is also favorable that you can play more than one spec for your character, there are always those times where raiders have to skip the raid on short notice through no fault of their own. At these times players with a functioning offspec potentially save the raid and keep us running.

We are a fairly tight knit group of friends that have been raiding together for many years, we are looking to include people with a similar mindset. Completing all current content at HC level while having fun and enjoying the game. It is very important to all of us at Bad Omen that people get along, any hostility towards other raiders or members alike will not be tolerated.

We will be raiding the following days, with possible extra raid nights scheduled here and there when decided as a raid group:

Wednesday 20:30-23:30
Thursday 20:30-23:30

Our current recruitment positions are as follows:

If your specialization is not listed below it means that we already have at least one of said specialization. In the interest of diversity they are not listed, this doesn't mean however you will be instantly dismissed. If you fit the criteria we are looking for and look to make a contribution to the guild you will be considered. With this being said we will have to have people sitting out if a certain class or specialization does not perform well on a fight. We will be going for the best overall team we can but that doesn't mean we will stack or completely remove a particular class either.

Tanks

We currently have 2 full time tanks but feel free to apply!

Healers

Our healing team is stable at the moment, feel free to apply, as the guild grows we will need more healers but this is a low priority at the moment.
