“Alea iacta est” WoW Guild

Who are we
Alea iacta est is a raiding guild that consists out of friendly, mature and well experienced players.
Most of our players have played the game since the early days of WoW and we are always on the lookout for players with that same experience.

What's the meaning of "Alea iacta est"
Julius Caesar said the words "the die is cast" (or rather he said it in Latin: "alea jacta est!") when he crossed the river Rubicon. This river was the boundary between ancient Italy and the province of Cisalpine Gaul. When Julius Caesar crossed the river in 49 B.C., he passed beyond the limits of his province of Cisalpine Gaul and became an invader in Italy, thus starting a war with Pompey and the Senate of Rome. Caesar used the phrase as a metaphor to express the fact that he had crossed the river, and there was no going back.

What are our goals
Alea iacta est is a 10 man semi-hardcore raiding guild.
The guild has been created to down all bosses on 10 man mode. We have 4 raiding days which we require raiders to be as close to 100% attendance as possible.
We like to participate in all end-game challenges WoW has to offer including achievements, RBG's and arena, but first and foremost is clearing the PvE content at hand.

What do we expect

• You are at least 18 years old.
• 
  
• Extensive raiding experience in both Cata and Wrath, all earlier is a plus.
• 
  
• Gear is equall or as close as possible to the level Alea is acting on at the moment of your apply.
• 
  
• Extensive knowledge about your class and spec and the ability to adapt and learn fast.
• 
  
• A very stable internet connection, too many dc's will certainly get you removed from the raid group.
• 
  
• You are always prepared, even when not approved but called up on: boss mechanics (read up/vids), pots, food, gold, repaired etc.
• 
  
• You can take criticism and respond positively.
• 
  
• You understand that progress raiding on occasion means a lot of wiping but still you remain motivated.
• 
  
• We all have a real life, but when raiding we expect you to be there and focussed. Don't let 9 people wait for you to grab something to drink or walk the dog.
• 
  
• We respond very badly to one liners in applications.

Loot is distributed by lootcouncil.

We expect our guild members to treat each other with respect as well for all the other people in the game. Respect Blizzards rules. Respect other people's opinions and ideas. Malicious mistreating or bad mouthing will never be tolerated.
