General info about Flare EU

Flare was created just before TBC and is soon approaching its third birthday. The guild is focused primary on PvE and is located on Jaedenar[Horde], which is part of a interesting and competitive battlegroup; Misery. We have a proud history, killing M'uru and KJ pre-nerfs in Sunwell a. Jaedenar is also a very strong server ranking among the top 10 in Europe. We have currently cleared all of Ulduar (Including Yogg 0 and Algalon) which was done before the release of the heroic modes in Trial of the crusader. ToC heroic has been cleared and we are getting ready for the final assault on Ice Crown Citadel. Aiming for server first kills and furthering our World ranking as a Guild

We as a guild have always strived to promote a healthy balance between raiding and real life commitments for our members, while also maintaining a heavy focus on progression. For us the quality of raids is far more important than quantity. Our community spirit within the guild (and server) is valued very highly and we view it as one of Flares primary strengths. We operate in a drama free zone, where any individual will be able to progress in terms of skill, while still having the very most important aspect of a game: Fun! For example we have a various active teams in different games, such as CoD4, Dota, HoN, Counter-Strike and we also have multiple time Gladiators (and deadly gladiators) from WoW arena PvP. We also organize real life meetings from time to time, it is an excellent way to meet the player's behind the characters, For example Countries we been too are : Holland, Denmark and more.


Positions Within the guild.

Our Raiding team is currently very balanced. However we are always looking for exceptional individuals of any class. At this point in time we are on the look out for:

Holy Priest
Holy Paladin
Ret Paladin
Rogue
A tank (Feral druid or Prot paladin prefered, can also be prot warrior or tank DK)

If you class isn't listed and you feel that you are an exceptional player, please don't hesitate to submit an application. We're always on the lookout for skilled players.


What we expect from you:

We have made a few guidelines for how we view an ideal candidate;

Experience and skill

• You have a deep insight into your own class and spec while also having a solid understanding of other classes roles in a raid environment.
• You know exactly which stats/gems/rotation/abilities will maximize your performance in a raid.
• You have a strong sense of awareness, surviving and adapting rapidly to any situation should present no problem for you.


Activity

• You can attend at least 4 out of 5 raids per week.
• You're able to tell us up front when ever you aren’t available.

Gear

• We value skill and personality higher than gear, we're able to gear our recruits quickly, however we see decent gear as a plus.
• If you are a candidate with poor gear we expect you to convince us of your ability throughout your application instead.

Personal

• You value team spirit highly.
• You posses a healthy portion of common sense and use it.
• We value your opinion and you will get room to express yourself, but you also know when to be quiet and listen.
• You continuously seek to improve yourself and innovate your gameplay.
• You must be able to receive criticism and you don’t make drama.
• You understand how to be a part of a multinational group and you treat your co-players with respect.
• A good sense of humour is a great plus.


Raid schedule

• We raid 5 days a week with fridays & saturdays being days off.
• The raid times are normally from 18.45 to 23.30 CET.
• When progressing raid times are more flexible and can be extended.

Please take note of the application template, which can be found in the "Application forum". It is of course fine if for what ever reason you wish to submit your application in private to an officer, (only officers can see these applications) the people to send them to on the forums are; Beatrix (Guild master and ranged dps), , Akuun (Qitarah in game Tanks), Draktul (Healers) and Zizon (melee).
