Infamous has disbanded after 7 years of raiding. Here is the post
from our forums;
As most of you know it has been a particularly bumpy journey for us over almost the entire expansion. We started with a very strong roster and most of our players were excited and interested in raiding at a competitive level. Unfortunately one by one they started falling away and for various reasons we were unable to replace them. This became a particular problem late in tier 12 and, while we were able to make raids, our progress was not really up to our standards in tier 13. Our inability to replace people eventually lead to us being unable to raid 25 man and this fact clearly killed the desire to play for a lot of people. It's no surprise I'm sure to many of you that we have come to this decision.
Unfortunately, whilst time is a great healer for relationships, it's not particularly favourable to guilds - the longer we've done 10 man to keep things ticking over, the fewer people we have remaining and it is now impossible for us to ever return to 25 man raiding. The 10 mans were initially successful but with every passing day someone would leave the guild which led to a very demoralised roster. This also ruled out our 10 man. In short, we feel that there is no realistic way for Infamous to remain what it has historically been - a high end PvE guild, so it is time to stop raiding, at least for this expansion.
In the past many guilds have disbanded or been crippled, only to come back at the beginning of the next expansion and try once more. The door is not closed for this and hopefully some people will wish to return to the game and the guild at the beginning of Mists of Pandaria.
I know that a lot of you only continue to play because of Infamous and it is likely that you will stop playing, I hope that these players who value the community are also the ones that may return in the next expansion. With this said, don't feel that you need to stick around - you are free to do what works for you and I wish you all the best of luck with whatever you choose to do.
I cannot apologise enough to our raiders who have recently joined the guild, I apologise that we couldn't provide a stable home for you.
To the whole guild community, old and new, I'm sorry it has had to come to this.
The guild will be left in its current state for now although I might fiddle around with the ranks a bit. Guild bank materials will be made available for any alt raids that happen involving people with characters in the guild.
I hope that we can keep our vent up for the community as I'm sure a lot of us will still be around but it may be that the number of slots on ventrilo will have to be adjusted depending on how many donations we receive.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do next and please stay in touch on the forums/vent.
