Guild Information
Borked is a well respected guild here on Ravencrest.
The guild has always had steady progress from way back in the start of WoW. Borked killed Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas 40, continued with realm first kill of Illidan and Kil'jaedan in The Burning Crusade.
Ever since midway tbc we stopped using voice communication when raiding which havent been any problems since. All tactics are done through chat, and we cleared every single encounter so far in Wrath of the Lich King. If you have any problems with reading or writing this is not the guild for you.
We generally dont set an age limit, but keep in mind that most of our members are over 25. If you do belong to the younger generation, you will need to convince us that you are mature enough to raid with a guild like Borked.
We are aiming for a small core, as we dont want people to be benched. This require each member to have full attendence. As a raider in Borked, you raid.
We might not aim for world firsts, but we do want to keep fast and steady progress through every single enounter in game, no matter of difficulty.
Raiding Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday: 19:00 to ~24:00
Friday and Saturday are offdays, unless any other decision is made.
Ulduar 25, Trial of the Crusader and Grand Crusader (both 10 and 25) are done on raiddays.
10man Ulduar is done during offdays.
We are currently active on the PTR. All new members need to have the PTR client installed.
As a raider in Borked we expect you:
to do whats best for the guild
- We might ask you to sacrifice your personal gain to increase the overall performance of the guild.
to love wiping on a new encounter
- if you cant handle countless wipes on a new boss. Go PvP.
to be able to adapt when the situation changes
- something can go wrong, something might change. Learn to deal with the situation and try to solve it as good as possible.
to learn from your mistakes
- everyone does mistakes, but the important part is that you learn from them and never do them again.
to be able to fully communicate in english
- all explainations are done through chat. You will need to understand directions through text.
to have knowledge about your class.
- you need to have a deeper understanding of your class aswell as having the best possible spec for each encounter. This might force you to do respec mulitple times each week.
to always use consumables.
- if you character cant perform fully because of missing buffs, there is no reason to have you in the raid.
to have 100% attendance.
- we aim to have a small core and not have our raiders benched. This way we will gear up faster and that makes everyone happier.
to have a good computer, and a stable internet connection.
- we are not intrested in people with disconnection issues. If you are not online, what can we use you for?
to not have your raiding affected by outside means.
- you will stay in the raid until the raidleader say we stop. We dont care if you mom wants you to sleep.
If you are interested in joining, put some time into writing your application.
The application should come from you, not a template. But be sure to include:
Information about your character
- name, spec, /played, armory link, wws logs etc
Information about yourself
- where are you from? how old are you? etc.
Your raiding experience (Classic, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King)
- For how long have you been raiding? What have you recently killed?
Former guilds
- Who did you raid with? Why did you leave?
Your Connection, computer
- Its important that we know what your computer can handle and that your connection is stable.
Screenshot of your ui in a raiding enviroment
- just to give us a general understanding how you see things in wow
Additional information
- alts, anything you think is important
