The <Active Gaming> is a well established semi-hardcore 10-man raiding guild, with history since 2007.

In Cataclysm we agreed to focus to pure, very tight 10m core, consisting of 13-15 people (3-5 on standby). We hold average age around 27, invitating condition is 21 (just take this as unbreakable fact).

Besides observing guild rules (very basic behaviour code), there are few points required from core raiders:

  • No spec fixation
    - you need to be able to reroll any spec thats actually needed in the guild.
    - class dedication: Perfect class knowledge is deadly required. We have no class leaders or mentors - you need to be such a class guru yourself :)

  • 100% attendance
    - we dont raid that hardcore... its just 4 days a week, 21:00 to midnight, but on those we require 100% attendance. Of course, reasonable excuse is acceptable, but especially in progress time (with new content), you must be ready to sacrifice some real life activities.
    - in order to get ready for upcomming content, attendance counts on PTR. Once we decide to switch to PTR, all required raiding activity moves there.

  • Communication abilities
    - we love to joke around in raids, same as out of them... being unable to talk on vent is considered as shame :)

  • Iron will
    - wipe with finding out what was wrong is actually better than a lucky kill. There always comes some constructive criticism - be ready for it.
    - extended raidtime: Few times a year may come a day we call an early raid. In such case, we start around 9am realm time and continue up to midnight if needed. Core raiders are ment to come (non optional). However - such day is always announced weeks before.

  • Guild/team spirit
    - you must see team success as top priority, even if it would mean to stand aside from raid for a time (stand-by/bench). Our members are proud where they belong. So - if you see shiny epics as priority... there is no spot for you.

If you feel comfortable with those guidelines, dont wait with application. All are always considered and we promise being polite even if it sucks

  • Managing Officers

    Hitcap (Former guild leader)
Meliorator (Current Guild leader, responsible for unwanted comments during raids, live streams, healing role, forums, website and pretending to be the "bad guy")
Goldenknight (responsible for raid leading, supervision of tank & melee role in raids, sometimes bad, sometimes good guy... you never know)
    Donmatheo (guild banker)
    Jumeeh (Unknown)
Cerealno Social officer & WoL administration (since everyone else is too lazy to do it :))

    • Raiding schedule during progress
      Wednesday (21:30 - 00:00, 7 minutes break @ 22:30)
      Thursday (21:30 - 00:00, 7 minutes break @ 22:30)
      Sunday (21:30 - 00:00, 7 minutes break @ 22:30)
      Monday (21:30 - 00:00, 7 minutes break @ 22:30)

      Another important hints:

    • Sytrönite doesnt have Raven Lord (that silly mount that everyone has even on alts). Please try to avoid that trauma topic while talking to him.

    • We call most bosses in Firelands just Shannox. So dont be confused we kill Shannox and then we rush for Shannox; sometimes we also zerg Shannox after Shannox and then go for Shannox, unless we do a small break before Shannox.

    • Shannox is slowly but sure moving to Dragon Soul. What a sick bastard, isnt he...

    • Remember its considered as improper to ask Hitcap hes in correct spec and gear before engaging encounter.

    • When Meliorator gets killed, its usualy because it "spawned on him and he couldnt do sh*t".

    • "Invisible fire" is bug that can randomly appear on any encounter, is well described on forums and cant be mitigated. Was proved that the more gnomes you have in raid, the more invisible fire you engage.

    • Random ninja-afk may be called "lagspike" if you have Baleroc shield equipped.

    • Protection paladins may get patch notes later, if have Google on cooldown.

    • Anytime someone loots a raid-quest item, its polite to ask "how many?"... Do that separately on vent, in raidchat, guildchat, party chat and whisper.
