“Crooks and Liars” WoW Guild

Crooks and Liars is a 10 man heroic orientated raiding guild that places significant emphasis on the quality of our raids over the quantity. Our members, for the most part, have a plethora of other commitments within their lives that make it impossible to accommodate a hardcore raiding schedule all year round. Whilst we may aim to raid up to a maximum of 5 nights per week, in reality, few of our current members will actually attend all of the aforementioned.

As such we have no particular raiding schedule requirements though we would obviously expect you to be extremely interested in the game (and in raiding) and be generally available to attend. The amount of raids we actually host will vary on a weekly basis depending on how interested our members are in the content we’re tackling, along with how busy people are with other commitments.

During raids, in order to maintain the aforementioned quality standards, we expect our players to know their classes inside out. Often, we’ll call upon people to play multiple specs within a single raid and as such it’s important to us that you’re confident in doing so. Similarly, maximising your output potential is important, but equally as important is your general raiding prowess and, of course, your ability to avoid fire.

Crooks and Liars is far from the type of guild to hammer all available content day in, day out, until it’s all cleared. A lot of our members have done this in years past and have obtained world rankings commensurate to the time they invested in this game. We’re looking to raid a small amount yet still maintain a reasonably respectable world ranking. Thus, we’re looking for members that share this goal and yet are maybe constrained in their availability by real life activities.

To date the guild has existed in several forms on both Horde and Alliance and on both Vashj and Sylvanas. Over the years we’ve experienced varying amounts of success and at times been a home to players that have both come from and subsequently gone on to hardcore raiding. Whilst we all share the common goal of exceeding the ever evolving demands that raiding has to offer, our world rankings have a tendency to fluctuate depending on our current player base.

Raiding is intended to be fun and as such we always endeavour to maintain a light hearted raid atmosphere. The majority of our members have played together or known each other for several years now and as such it is important to us to include all members in any guild related discussions or alterations. Within the guild we have no defined rank structure and operate a free for all guild bank policy.
