Recruiting:

We're looking for players to compliment our Mythic raid team going forward in Hellfire Citadel.

We are looking for stable, long-term players that share our passion for raiding. While a base level of skill and gear will be necessary we value patience, commitment and willingness to learn over all else.

Info about us:

Was Merely A Setback was a 10-man guild, which was founded back in Cataclysm with core members raiding together from vanilla. We've had steady progress through all raiding tiers and had most (Old) heroic modes cleared. Currently we are working towards HFC Mythic.

Our primary focus for raiding is Mythic.

What you can expect from Was Merely A Setback:

We're a guild of active veteran-gamers and in addition to raiding we are active in other areas, offing help and support to guildies with PVP, LFR, gearing up alts / off-specs, and Challenge Modes.

In addition to all the in game help we offer a fun, friendly environment whether in guild chat or on Teamspeak.

What we expect from you:

Experience and knowledge. For Mythic HFC progress we are looking for 12/13 HC experience. Looking forward we are more interested in your ability to learn and commit over your current progression.

Skill. You know your class well and are up-to-date with optimal rotation and stats for your class. You always seek to improve your performance and are willing to listen to feedback from other guildies.

Communication. You must be able to use Teamspeak for raids and listen to the raid leaders. We would we prefer that you have a working microphone however this is not essential.

Improvement. You must be open to suggestions and critic from your fellow raiders with patience and understanding.

Dedication. As a Mythic raiding guild we expect raiders to priorities guild raid events. We require of you, (with support from the guild) that you always try to get better gear and do whatever is required to improve your performance.

Attendance. As a raiding guild trying to progress through Mythic we require that you can sign up for at least 3/4 raids each week. But of course we accept that people have a life outside WoW and sometimes can't show up. But it's important that you tell us in advance and have a good reason. if you can't keep up with the required attendance, please tell us in your application and then we'll take it in our consideration.
