About us:
Nightshade was originally formed on the Sunstrider Realm(2005) by a collection of old friends from older games like EverQuest, Starwars-Galaxies and Lineage 2, the guild has been equally hated by bosses from Ragnaros to Arthas, and by the horde, whose demise is part of our motto. We are proud to favor a semi-hardcore style of raiding and encourage pvp, whilst keeping a good progress record.
On 19 August we transfered to the European The Mealstrom realm. This because the Sunstrider realm became so bad and underpopulated we couldn’t keep up the raiding standards we had.
Our raids:
We raid up to 4 nights per week, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday. Usually we don't raid Tuesdays, unless we want to spend more time progressing when we are getting close to a kill.
Raids start at 20:00 and end 0:00.
We use a roll-based lootsystem to distribute loot to ensure gear rotates fairly. Trials will have lower prio on loot than Core Raiders.
RECRUITMENT STATUS:
Current priorities as of 29/3/13 are as follows:
Discipline Priest
Elemental Shaman
Mage
-- Any number-pushing DPS who can reliably out-perform members of our present raiding team at the time of applying, and put the effort in to constantly improving their personal performance (termed as "outstanding players".
All of these MUST be decently geared, wearing high level items to demonstrate their experience in the current content. They need to be reliable, and most importantly have the proper knowledge of their class and the current content we are progressing in as a guild.
In-depth independent knowledge of your class is expected and if you have talents, reforges, or enchants perceived as "wrong" or in-optimal by our officers and are unable to explain your decisions beyond "I have had a _x_ month break" then you will be turned away. Our officer team who preside over applications have combined yet overlapping, detailed up-to-date theory crafting knowledge of multiple classes, primarily in their officer roles, and if they tell you something is optimal, they are likely correct.
We are not looking to boost people's alts in raid finder gear to Heroic level, only to find out you are bad, neither do we want the unnecessary pain of dragging new people through hard encounters for hours on end during our farming raids if they cannot perform optimally.
