About Vicarious
Vicarious is a group of people who enjoy dominating the most difficult content the MMO genre has to offer. WoW is and has been our primary focus for quite some time now, but many of us date back to EQ, FFXI and even MUDs for the unabashed nerds amongst us. We're nothing if not competitive and have established ourselves as a world-class guild in Ulduar thus far. We demonstrated a similar drive in Sunwell, solidifying our name in the raiding community with a number of top 10 US kills. Our subscription to the 'quality over quantity' mantra has served us well, and our roster remains small and efficient.
Our typical raiding hours are Sunday through Thursday from 7:30 to 11:30pm EST. We do sometimes stay later than this if a new boss kill is imminent; however, staying late is done on a voluntary basis out of respect for those with RL obligations. Obviously during farming periods our schedule is much lighter, but everyone is expected to be able to make those hours with few conflicts and zero recurring ones.
We are located on Area 52, which is a Full pop server with a robust economy and zero instance lag.
Who we're looking for
You should be a highly motivated and competitive individual. The ability to demonstrate prior excellence in a high-end raiding situation is necessary. If you think you even remotely have a history of whining, giving up, drama-mongering, or having a huge sense of entitlement, you need not apply. Your situational awareness should be top-notch; tunnel vision is not tolerated.
Just as importantly, you should be able to fit in and establish some kind of rapport with your peers. We end up spending a substantial amount of time together and dreading that takes away from the whole experience. Many of us have worked very hard to elicit a sense of pride in wearing the Vicarious guild tag, and you should respect that with your actions.
The classes listed above are on our priority list. Take note, however, that if you meet exceedingly well with our expectations you are highly encouraged to apply regardless. There is always a spot for a top-notch player.
To apply, please visit our site and send a PM on our forum to Kharhaz with the information listed in the recruitment forum. Our consideration of your application will be commensurate with the thought and effort you put into it.
I sincerely appreciate your time and interest. If you have any questions, the best way to communicate with me is a PM on our forums.
