“Shard” WoW Guild

Shard is looking for a few more players to help round out our 25 man raids that occur W/Th/Sun @ 7:30-10 server (6:30-9PST). Invites start 15min before the raid.

We are looking for:
Any class labeled "high". Or any excellent player who wants a balance of life and WoW

While we are generally full on other classes unlisted above we can always use Great players. Players with a geared offspec (healing/tanking) that they are experienced in, will be given extra consideration.

About you:
You look forward to playing WoW and not because of the gear you may get but for the journey you go on to get it. To you, the best part of WoW is working with your guild to accomplish things you couldn't otherwise do on your own.

You like to raid but also have other things in your life that prevent you from doing it all the time and committing to a minimum attendance raiding schedule. As such you are motivated to progress as much as possible in the shortest possible amount of time.

You love your class and your role in raids. You spend time learning how to play your class as well as possible and it shows in your performance in raids. You love raids and enjoy learning new fights/mechanics and as such you do more than just show up to raids to collect fat loot. You also learn how to maximize your class in each challenging encounter.

You gear your self to the best of your abilities and you like to maximize your character (Professions, Gems, Enchants and Spec). You always come prepared to raids with every consumable you could need.

You are able to communicate well, both written and/or verbally.


About us:
Shard just turned 3 years old and during that time we have regularly been one of the top 3 Horde guilds (top 10 guilds on this server). We do not try for server firsts or to be on the cutting edge of progression. We simply aim to see as much content as possible during our very limited 7.5 hours of raiding per week.

Our history:
Formed 12-17-2007

In BC: We started as a 10man guild that was barely clearing Kara to a 25man Killing Illidan in under 10 months.

In WotLK, We stayed on the top edge of the servers progression curve and gained Glory achievements for ULD and ICC in 10 and 25man.

In Cata: We were the sole Horde 25man on our server to survive the Cataclysm and continue to maintain and champion the challenge the larger raid format brings. Our progression: We completed T12 and 13 on 25man (Normal/Heroic + all achievements) as well as all the T11 achievements in 10man (Including "I Can't Hear You Over the Sound of How Awesome I Am").

Our Focus:
To kill all the bosses on all difficulties while current. In working to achieve this goal, we expect all our members as ready as possible when it is raid time and be ready to raid focused for the little time we raid each week.

We do not require attendance, but do require /afk notifications if you cannot make a raid. By joining our raid team we expect you to try and make all our raids, but we understand that things happen and you cannot always choose a game over real life.

While our primary focus is 25man raiding we have quite a few players who love raiding and IF they have free time, they like to run 10mans in their spare time. As such you can expect to see alt raids during our off time.

Our guild offers repairs, flasks, food, gems, enchants to all raiders*. All you need to bring is yourself and your mad skillz. *there are limits on rare/expensive items which will change over time based on market conditions.
