Solid applicants of any class & spec will be seriously
considered. What we are typically looking for in applicants
are:
- Healers (be reliable, competent & a team player)
- Solid DPS (e.g. comfortably breaking 100k+ on an unaffected-by-raid-mechanics single target)
- Strong DPS hybrids (DPS/Heal or DPS/Tank, not Tank/Heal)
After 6 years as a 25 man guild, Valiant has shifted to 2x 10 man raiding groups for MoP. This enables us to provide all the benefits of a larger guild, while providing a raiding environment better suited to progression.
Each group puts in 2-4 focused nights, for a total of 8-12 hours a week. This is a light raiding schedule compared to many yet in that time we clear a lot of content.
We are opening recruitment up to all classes. If you feel that you are an exceptional player, you like to read about boss strategy and watch frapped videos for fun, if you like to min-max, if you farmed like mad for your Darkmoon card, or if you just like to be good at what you do then you'll find others like yourself in Valiant

Who are we...
- We are a mature end game raiding
guild. Minimum age rules are in effect
- We aim for steady progression based on a reasonable raid schedule. Quick focused pulls and with an adaptable raid are more fun than countless hours of inefficient grinding.
- We are not a high turnover guild. We have been a guild for over 6 years (founded in Oct '06)

What are our raid start times?
- 8pm Raids: Tuesday / Wed /
Thursday, some Sundays or Mondays, 8pm - 11pm CST
- 7pm Raids: Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday, 7pm - 10pm CST

What we want from you..
- Ventrilo (microphone preferred as
well)
- Raid mods: Omen, DBM/BigWigs
- Ability to follow the raid/role leader's instructions, accept guidance and direction
- A stable connection. If you disconnect from the game or Internet regularly you should upgrade with your ISP before applying.
- Dedication to the success of the guild. This includes equipping yourself outside raids (crafting upgrades where appropriate), farming potions/consumables, having the required mods installed and functioning, potentially switching to a raid talent spec etc.
- "Never Give Up" attitude. Some encounters will be a learning phase where wipes are common. We want players that are focused and determined.

- Coming to raids unprepared. (i.e coming to raids with no consumables, PvP spec'd, or having not read the boss strategy)

What you get if you join...
- Current loot distribution is roll.
We have traditionally used EPGP, but found that group discussion +
roll is more appropriate for 10s
- A mature guild with focus, talent and direction
- Mentoring available if required for successful applicants. We expect our members to commit to the guild and in return the guild commits to its members
- Members are allowed alts within the guild
