“The Villainous” Guild

About Us

<The Villainous> has been formed by a small of group of rl friends and some of our old guild mates that simply do not have the time we used to for raiding. Our roster is comprised mostly of working adults, college kids and busy parents that simply do not have the time to dedicate to the heroic content we would prefer to be doing. That said we still enjoy raiding and playing together. We want to see the content and like many out there we feel that lfr is extremely boring and does not provide the atmosphere and fun we used to have. Most of our guild has substantial commitments outside of the game, so we emphasize making the most of the few hours we dedicate to raiding each week.

Our Goals

Presently, all of those in guild have committed to being a 2-night guild. Ideally, we want to push content at our own pace and clear out all available normal content. We want to progress and collect epics, but more importantly we want to have fun while playing. With the idea of being a two night short schedule guild, spending wipe nights and the mental drag that comes with learning new heroic encounters simply does not fit into our timetable or what we want to do.

Who we are looking for

We feel that players look for primarily 3 things when looking for a new home.
1) Are you recruiting my class/spec? - Yes, chances are if you have made it this far we are looking for you. Normal modes do not really require a special raid composition. If you know how to play or are willing to learn we have room for you.

2) Do you meet my schedule? - Maybe? We sure hope we do. Can you only meet one night of our raid times or are you interested in alt nights?

3) Progression? - Presently as a guild we are still building so this question is pretty easy to answer. Some of our members have substantial raid experience over the years. We may not be Blood Legion but we know our classes pretty well and know how to play.

Our ideal candidate is a player that is interested in a short schedule guild, socialable, and can make a commitment to be on time for our raids.

Our Openings

1 Tank - Preferably a dk, monk or druid.
Any healers - Any classes
Dps - Any classes. We would prefer to avoid too much homogenization
Off specs are highly encouraged

Loot

Looting will be handled with a form of loot council. Basically, it is going to be whoever gets the most out of a piece. Off spec gear will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Boe's and any disenchants will be going towards the guild bank fund which handles all of your flasks, food, enchants and gemming.(Within reason) If you don't contribute regularly to ironpaw tokens, don't expect a bunch of free sha crystals.

Raiding Schedule

Wednesday evening (PST- Server Time) 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Sunday evening (PST- Server Time) 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Recruitment Requirements

Vent and the ability to use it.
A general understanding of your class- New people are more than welcome.
Ability to follow directions and learn from your mistakes
Show respect to your guildmates, have your gear gemmed, forged and enchanted properly
Don't be an asshat
