Who are we?

Doom is a long standing guild on the Dalaran server, formed in April of 2005, has been a driving force on the server while staying competitive on a national level. We offer a stable guild (4+ years) with a focus on progression, and a serious, yet fun guild atmosphere! Many of its members, including all of its officer core, have been playing since vanilla with experience in all content available up to this point. We do not recruit for bench spots, we keep a tight-knit roster (28-35 members) where each and every member's performance has an impact on our success! Expect a lot of jokes during down-time, sense of humor goes a long way, and a social atmosphere inside and out of WoW. Although WoW is our main focus and includes our primary goals, we do enjoy other gaming avenues together such as, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Sword of the Stars, Dawn of War II, and hopefully upcoming games Left 4 Dead 2, Starcraft II and Diablo 3. Our Steam Group for the Dalaran server can be found here - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Dalaran .You'll find a good number of members who enjoy other areas of WoW as well, including Arenas, BG's, leveling alts, and other aspects. Atmosphere during raids, especially during progression, is serious and focused on our current goals. Expect a no-nonsense raid leader with every person putting in 110%.

Who aren't we?

We aren't the super-hardcore, we don't raid 7 nights a week, we don't rotate in 40-50 raiders on our normal roster. We definitely are not looking to hold-hands or spoon feed content to less experienced players. We do not tolerate drama queens, loot #@@!%s, or complainers. We are not looking for World or US firsts, but remaining focused and competitive, while having fun is our main goal.

What do we expect?

When searching for and joining a guild such as ours, we expect potential applicants and recruits to be well-versed, as well as;
-Knowledgable - Of your class of course, but other classes abilities and limitations as well.
-Informed - Keeping an ear to the ground on new encounters, strategies, and changes to the game.
-Maximizing potential - including all consumables (FOOD, FLASKS, POTIONS) and professions (gathering is for alts).
-Experienced - With current content and preferably BC/Vanilla content, especially pre-nerf Tier5 and Sunwell difficulty
-Commited - If you have upcoming circumstances which will keep you from participating, it's probably not in your best interest to apply.
-Dedicated - To the game, and guild, if you're on the verge of quitting the game, do not bother applying.
-Courteous - If unable to attend, a notice would be in order.

Our trial period is just that, a trial. You'll be judged on your performance, but also your ability to mesh well with our current members, and your overall attitude as a person.
