Hi, <Concussion> of Dragonmaw (PVP-PST) (3/5 ToGC 25) is
recruiting for immediate core raiding positions for:
2 Rogues
1 Unholy or Frost DK
1 Ret Paladin
1 Warlock
1 Enhance Shaman
1 Mage (if you're super duper good)
We are not looking to recruit backups here, we are in dire need of dedicated, skilled and progression-driven core raiders that is willing to come prepared for raid.
WHAT WE CAN PROVIDE
A thriving server
Being one of the oldest servers, Dragonmaw prides itself with a large active player base, with equal (if not slightly Horde dominant) population that can guarantee minimal downtime while looking for players for a PuG.
A friendly, progression-driven raid environment
We do not employ a "scream and yell" strategy when it comes to raiding. Nobody is expected to be perfect and when mistakes do happen, our approach is to ensure it does not happen again rather than condemning said person. Of course, a firm approach is needed when said person makes the same mistakes repeatedly. Our goal is to progress, not to belittle.
A fair loot distribution system
Our officer loot system has been employed since TBC and it has not gave itself in to major loot disputes ever since. We place strong emphasis on attendance, punctuality, performance as well as gear appropriateness/upgrade as our main criteria. This does not mean officers will get loot before raiders. If you can prove to us you are able to perform and attend you are just as eligible to get loot as officers.
A strong progression history
<Concussion> was founded back when Black Temple was released. We began as a 10man Karazhan guild, slowly growing and progressing and eventually clearing Black Temple just as Sunwell is released. We started off strong in WotLK, clearing all content including Heroic: Twilight Zone and Glory of the Raider before Ulduar. Unfortunately we were not as progress driven in Ulduar due to a shift in leadership; however, we were still able to attain Glory of the Ulduar Raider before Coliseum was released as well as clearing Heroic: Orbituary and Heartbreaker.
Our current progression in Coliseum has been strong, killing Heroic: Northrend Beasts and Jaraxxus in the same week, with Faction Champions in the week following. We hope to maintain this steady pace through Coliseum and hopefully down Valkyr Twins by next week. We are the 9th most progressed guild on the server (6th as Horde) and we hope to improve upon that.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
A strong progression-aimed mind
If you are one of those that only show up to raid for farmed content loots, this is not the guild for you. We expect every raider to be dedicated to progression, even if it means a night of repair bills and wipes. Positive attitude after failure is most appreciated as we aim to progress forward and not dwell behind over our failures. You are also expected to come prepared to raid with flasks and consumables.
A willingness to learn and improve
While we do not expect everyone to be flawless right off the bat, we do hope that you can take initiatives to learn and improve. Do not rest on your position on the DPS meter, but rather learn how you can do more dps, tweaking specs, rotations, gems and enchants.
A positive attitude
A negative attitude is very destructive to the raid as it lowers morale. We ask that applicants to remain positive even after a night of progress (or lack thereof). If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it.
A stable internet connection and computer
Wiping to an encounter due to lag/disconnect can be very frustrating if it happens repeatedly so we ask that applicants must have a solid connection so the risks of dc can be minimized.
A stable RL schedule
We understand that some people have erratic work schedules but we hope you can at least make 2 raid nights out of our 3. This is especially important when Icecrown is released as we hope to have 3 full raid progression nights. If RL does get in your way the most important thing is to let us know in advance so we can make necessary adjustments to the raiding roster for that night.
-------------------------------
Raid Times
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:30pm PST to 10:00pm PST. 10mans during weekends depending on raider schedule.
Gear and Experience
While we do not impost strict gear requirements, having gear that is ready for ToGC25 is a huge plus. Also, proving to me your skill and dedication can compensate for the lack of gear is also acceptable.
We ask that applicants is to be experienced with Normal ToC25/10, and having cleared ToGC10 or having cleared some bosses in ToGC25 is another huge plus also.
