About the Eleventh Hour
The Eleventh Hour strikes a balance between serious raid progression and a sociable, "family" atmosphere. We have a reputation on the server as a guild that progresses steadily and efficiently through PvE content, while also being upright and honorable citizens of the server community. Applicants are evaluated based on their skills in gameplay as well as on their social suitability to the guild. We take being "low drama" seriously and we don't cut corners.
As a guild, The Eleventh Hour dates from the first week of the game's release. Our history as a serious raiding entity goes back almost as far; we were one of the first guilds on the server to make progress in Molten Core in the spring of 2005. Since that time we've consistently been near the leading edge of the server in progression, but never at the leading edge. Since Wowjutsu went online, we've consistently been in the top 1000 US guilds, but only very rarely in the top 500.
In the Burning Crusade, we cleared all content up through the first half of Sunwell before the 3.0 patch, and after the 3.0 patch completed Sunwell and downed Kil'Jaden before WotLK's release.
We don't place any particular value on rankings; we place importance on steady, efficient progress. We're very comfortable with who we are and what we do, and we have no interest in changing who we are simply to secure server firsts.
During progression periods, we typically raid four hours a night on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday; with an occasional Monday night raid. We don't expect full attendance, but we expect applicants to be able to make at least 3 raids a week on average. Current members who choose to retire from raiding, or who have schedule changes that prohibit raiding, are not kicked from the guild.
We expect raiders to make a serious effort to maximize their effectiveness in raids, but we don't expect them to sell their souls to the game. We're committed to the philosophy of "RL > WoW".
If you're looking for a guild that will push for server firsts and always strive for the top of the server rankings, this is not the guild for you.
If you're looking for a relaxed, casual guild that raids free of pressure and stress, this is not the guild for you.
If you're looking for a guild that takes progression seriously without expecting a full-time commitment to the game, and guildmates who are successful in PvE without letting it turn them into jerks, we may be what you're looking for.
About Earthen Ring
Earthen Ring is a PvE Roleplaying realm that was brought online a week after the game's release as part of the second wave of realms created to meet the unexpected level of interest in the game. The realm has a long, rich history and an active server community. The average age and maturity level of players on the server is higher than for a typical PvE realm. "Serious" roleplaying opportunities exist for those interested, but the majority of the population doesn't push serious effort towards roleplay.
Note that additional naming restrictions, and some restrictions on /s and /y, apply to Roleplaying servers.
