About Us:
Heretic is a casual, fun loving guild with a serious focus on raiding. We pride ourselves on accomplishing a great deal raiding a laid-back schedule. We are one of the oldest intact raiding guilds on Executus. Our values of dedication and integrity along with our generally convivial attitude have created a tight-knit Heretic family.

Raid Times:
Tuesday 8:00pm-12:00am EST
Wednesday 8:00pm-12:00am EST
Sunday 8:00-12:00am EST
Please be aware that invites go out 15 minutes prior to the times listed.

Applying:
Please read through our guild information and look over our current Recruitment Needs prior to applying. If you have and have decided Heretic seems like somewhere you could call home, please fill out an application and post it as it's own thread in the Applications/Access section of our forums, including 'Character Name | Level | Class' in the subject. Spend time on your application. Fill everything out and make sure all of your grammar and spelling is correct. Check links, make sure they work. Put in the extra effort to bold the original questions and make it easier to read. Going the extra mile on your application can often make a huge difference in the decision making process.

Trial Period:
When you are invited to Heretic, the first portion of your time here will be spent as a Trial. This period lasts a minimum of two weeks to give us time to get to know you, as well as giving you time to get to know us. You will be invited to raids when there are openings, which can be frequent if people are on vacation, but there are no guaranteed raid spots for new recruits. Trials are expected to be on the waitlist for all of the raids that they are not attending. You will be given feedback during this period by an officer or veteran member assigned to you. If you cannot conform to our raiding style or make improvements based on our suggestions, you will be removed from the guild. If the trial period goes well you will be promoted to a member and given access to our forums.

Expectations:
We expect all player that raid with us to bring their absolute best to every raid. All members, once promoted and able to view the forums, are expected to read and sign our raiding guidelines. These guidelines include attendance policies, consumable polices as well as general quality of raid policies. We expect players to bring a high level of dedication and desire to raid, as well as a positive attitude and courtesy towards others.

Attendance:
As a Trial, members are expect to meet our 100% combined raid and waitlist attendance policy. Once passing their Trial and achieving the raider rank, all members are expected to maintain a 70% raid attendance to remain in the guild. All members striving for and after achieving the Core Raider rank are required to maintain a minimum 80% or above raid attendance in order to maintain raider status and their guaranteed raid spot. However, everyone should strive for as close to 100% raid attendance as possible. If you absolutely cannot make a raid, you will be late or you have to leave raid early you are required to post in the Late or Missing Losers forum as far in advance as possible.

Loot:
Heretic rewards loot based on a Zero Sum DKP system and DKP is only distributed when a boss drops a piece of loot that a member purchases for DKP. All of the item prices are fixed values of 50 DKP for non-tier items and 75 DKP for tier pieces. DKP is displayed on our gsDKP page. To bid, the Master Looter will link an item in raid chat, you then whisper the Master Looter stating that you want that item and if you have the highest DKP among the bidders, the item will be looted to you. There are exceptions to this based on rank; All raiding ranks have priority on items over Members, PvPers and Trials. Trials will only receive loot when it is not needed by a Raider, Member or PvPer. Offspec loot does not cost DKP and is free roll, but items may be assigned to people who use two specs in raid frequently regardless of rolls. Waitlist members accumulate 50% of the raid's DKP for the bosses they were on Waitlist for.

Required Addons:
To raid with Heretic, there are certain addons you need to have installed. We require all raiders have some sort of threat meter, preferably Omen and either Bigwigs or DBM. If you are a Paladin, Pally Power is also required. Additionally, we require all raiders to install Ventrilo and have a *working* microphone.

Officers:
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact one of our officers in game.
