“Oath” WoW Guild

Oath is a long standing Alliance guild on the Exodar server. We strive to conquer all the content WoW has to offer while maintaining our laid back atmosphere. We aim to never lose our sense of humor. We take our gameplay seriously and expect all members to bring their best to each encounter. We are proud of the longevity of the guild, its leadership, and the friendships we have found. Oath is not a guild to pass through, it is a place to make your home.

Oath is looking for raiders who will bring superior skill and dedication as well as a sense of humor to the table. If you are looking for a super serious all business guild, keep looking. But if you know that you don’t have to give up on fun to push progression and lead the pack, please keep reading.

We are looking for people who want to raid with us full time- we do not have a rank for casuals. If you are dependable and driven and able to laugh at yourself and others you might be a perfect fit! Our raid times are Sun-Thurs 7:30pm-12am EST, expanded occasionally during progression pushes. We require 70%+ raid attendance to remain loot eligible. You can see our current recruitment needs on the home page, but we welcome apps from any phenomenal players.

Oath is a progression-focused end game raiding guild that has been together for well over 3 years. We are a small and tight knit guild with an extremely stable officer core. If you’re looking for drama or internal conflict, you will not find it here.

We value skill and game knowledge over gear, but do not apply in crap gear. You must know your class, have the desire and motivation to constantly learn and improve and be willing to do so without being hand held. This means you must be performing at the top of your game, and not just happy to get by. You will be expected to show up to raids already knowing what to do, we won’t tell you. This is not a guild to join to gear up or learn to play. We don’t coddle our members or worry about hurting anyone’s feelings. If you are not a superior player, do not apply. We have a blast raiding together and there is a fun and laid back atmosphere in our raids when we’re not on a progression push, but incompetence will not be tolerated. We are very disappointed that we were unable to compete for world firsts even though we do lead our server, so if server firsts are good enough for you, do not apply.

We invite members with the idea of them staying for the long haul. We try to find players with not only the skill level we require, but also a personality that will fit right in. Expect to have a lengthy discussion with our recruitment officer on top of filling out a detailed application. If you are the type of player we want, you won’t mind. You’ll be glad we don’t recruit every nice looking armory we see, because you know there are plenty of idiots running around with BIS and achievements.

While our game play is mature, our sense of humor sometimes isn't. You will be subject to off-color humor, vulgarity, and merciless harassment when you do something moronic, so be sure you can take a joke. We have a lot of fun and don't take ourselves seriously. We do, however, take our progression and game play seriously, so you need to understand the difference.
