ABOUT US:

(Started Mists of Pandaria content - 25 Flex May 8, 2014 and ended 8/14 Heroic September 1, 2014)

Exalted Path began at the end of the Burning Crusade and was a hardcore 10 man progression raid guild during Wrath of the Lich King led by the restoration shaman Rheyla (who was a healing officer for top US raid guild Midwinter during Cataclysm). Exalted Path was comprised of family and friends all living within the same state. Due to Exalted Path's strong relationships and direct access to each other, the guild was able to forge into an extremely competent raid group.

During Wrath of the Lich King, Exalted Path wanted to grow and merged with the 25 man raid guild Infuriate, with Rheyla as an officer and later, when Infuriate leadership burned out and left the game, other former officers of Exalted Path assumed command and became canon leadership in their place. Combined, Infuriate rose to become the eminent horde raid guild on Hakkar and maintained that position until Mists of Pandaria when Infuriate took a hiatus from raiding that turned into an unplanned extended absence.

Recently, dissatisfied with raid opportunities, Rheyla decided to create opportunity by reviving Exalted Path but not as a 10 man guild but as a 25 man raid guild. Before Warlords of Draenor takes center stage, Rheyla and Exalted Path, will compete for current content achievements concentrating on heroic kills for Mists of Pandaria.

Rheyla and her original officers will bring the same organized, driven, and competent leadership that saw a guild rise to server firsts during Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, yet again for what remains of Mists of Pandaria.

A lot of guilds have simply stopped raiding. If you are interested in finishing content while it is relevant, in the most dynamic style of raiding there is (25 man), then come talk to a member of the guild: Rheyla (Healing), Bogdan (Melee), Laurenta (Range), and Burndemtrees (Tanking). We will decide if you have what it takes and if you are the kind of individual that this guild needs to accomplish its goals, and take Exalted Path on a competitive run and most importantly, return the guild status to a position of raid and faction dominance continuing and following through with the launch of Warlords of Draenor.

THE LAWS OF EXALTED PATH

We are a 20 Man Mythic & 25 Man Heroic Progression Guild

First and foremost we believe in trying to provide the best that we can for the guild, whether that is players, leadership, strategies, tactics, or opportunities. To that effect we think of the guild and relate the guild to a recreational center. As our membership grows, we strive to increase our staff and guild activities so everyone, not just a core, can remain involved and enjoy the game.

GROUP 1: Heroic Siege of Orgrimmar 25 man Progression raid towards mythic is Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, and Monday 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm server.

GROUP 2: Normal Siege of Orgrimmar 25 man Progression raid towards heroics is Tuesday, Friday, and Monday 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm server.

GROUP 3: Flexible Siege of Orgrimmar 25 man Progression raid towards normal is Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday until cleared or from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm server.

We do run a guild sponsored rated battleground or PvP event every Saturday between the hours of 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM server.

Corporations, and Government/Military Organizations, and even Athletic Teams recognize the need for Junior Varsity and Varsity squads or personnel from both the executive and operations for development. What works for them works for us and will work for us.

The intent of the multiple and different groups is to build depth. Group 2 or our normal 25 man raid's goal is to catch up to group 1 and complete heroics. Group 3's 25 man flexible raid is designed to progress towards normal 25 man raiding and eventually also catch up to Group 1 doing heroics. By this means we can ensure continuity with well equipped raiders with both experience and gear.

LEADERSHIP

Exalted Path's presiding guild master is Bogdan. It's three founding leaders are Rheyla, Laurenta, and Jaiyen. The guild master and guild leaders act collectively as the administrative body that rules and governs the guild.

Our leadership ideology is more akin to a high school sports program than a college one, meaning there is more patience, more training, and opportunities for personal improvement. High schools are often strapped with inexperienced volunteer staff, skinny players, and little talent. Bearing that in mind, how do you then develop such variables into a competitive champion team? This is where a focused and organized leadership team comes in and we have had a proven track record of churning out results. While universities can use their vast reputation, influence and resources on selective recruitment, we understand that poor servers like Hakkar are more like the student body of a high school, sometimes you get what you get and beggars can't be choosers. To that end, dedicated, creative, and resourceful leadership is the foundation upon which all our efforts begin. It is easier to bottom line performance and replace underachievers like most guilds do, than it is to help mold someone, anyone, into a desirable product and that is what makes us unique in comparison to other guilds. PERSPECTIVE. EXPERIENCE. TRAINING.

The backbone of our guild are its officers. Our officers exist specifically as raid leaders and are chosen based on their experience, maturity, preparation, and dependability. They know the minute details and nuances of each boss fight, like the bosses abilities and mechanics. They also know when tanks must taunt off, where they should be positioned, and when they must move. Likewise, these officers know when to blow global cooldowns and when to reserve them. They know the ins and outs of every class role and specialization assigned to their cadre.
Our 25 man raids are led by a tank officer, a healing officer, a melee dps officer, and a range officer. These officers are responsible for ensuring that every member of their team is fully and properly decked out, gemmed, enchanted, glyphed, reforged, and talented in a manner in keeping with raid readiness like having potions, flasks, and food on hand. These officers also groom and prepare others to join the team from the lower echelons, and answer questions vital to helping a player understand the basics of their class and specialization like best in slots (Bis), and if they do not know they can at least direct inquiries to a resource they know may help.

Each raid subset communicates during raids in their own assigned chat channels as well as in the guild's Ventrilo channel. Multiple channels allow the officers to specifically manage aspects of an encounter based on individual roles rather than an entire raid, thereby maximizing communication, minimizing excessive chatter, and prioritizing leadership without speaking over others. To assist the officers when they speak in officer chat, raiders are provided their own chat channels where they may field suggestions or questions without interfering with their officers ability to listen to their peers. Free chat during raids is discouraged while type chat in the channels, raid chat, or guild chat is encouraged.

The loot system is always subject to change based on the needs of the guild however in the past our preferred loot system we used EPGP Lootmaster and EPGP (DKP) Reloaded. When we must pug open spots like in a flexible raid situation, the raid relies on the master looter MS>OS /roll system. If using the loot council method or master looter, then raiders must link in raid chat the item being replaced and then the loot is dolled out or rewarded to individuals based on the discretion, wisdom, and judgment of the officers in terms of what benefits the guild, which person benefits most from the upgrade, and the ranking system plays a factor. Often when the decision is unclear the officers will select several individuals to roll for the item.

RANK SYSTEM (is based on completion of content below)

Like any organization, there are bare minimum standards we enforce. Merely having a high ilevel or linking shared account achievements is insufficient and does not qualify you. Consider the effort of doing this content as a challenge but also as visible commitment to the guild. Consider the content as a boot camp and evaluation of your character's development. If you do not care about your character than why should we? If you do not invest in your character than why should we? Doing the achievements listed below puts you on even footing with everyone else. It lends weight to a general brotherhood and club.

Too many people state, "I know this fight on a different toon, I've never done this before on this one". Well lets dispel doubt and dispense with lack of experience and have you do all of these encounters at least once. In a world of boosted alts it must be understood that while you may have the achievement and be a guru at your melee dps class on another toon that does absolutely nothing for you as a healer alt during the same encounter. It is important as a raid leader to know that all my recruits have basic experience and skills, even on that particular alt. When core elite and raiders and unavailable, we substitute recruits for the raid, so we must trust in a minimum standard.

The guild recognizes several ranks:

Elite Core - Have done their bit, time in raid, rank, and ilevel. They attend all raids without fail. Perform without fail. Proven loyalty. They receive consideration for all things first, especially raid slots and loot, because of their dedicated and unswerving service and commitment to the guild. That is their reward (generally 575 ilevel and above).

Heroic Raiders - These raiders have done all scenario/dungeon/raid content/encounters and killed all bosses raid & world available for Mists of Pandaria, including LFR/Flexible/Normal. Every gear slot is occupied with a PvE normal ilevel item or equivalent and above. These are individuals are heroic ready and have locked a permanent spot on the raid roster as core raiders and receive first priority during raid selection. Players can receive this rank based on their temperament, maturity, attendance, performance, and ilevel (generally 565 ilevel and above).

Normal Raiders - These members have done all scenario/dungeon/raid content/encounters and killed all bosses raid & world available for Mists of Pandaria, including LFR/Flexibe. Every gear slot is occupied with a PvE Flex ilevel item or equivalent and above. We expect our players to do some of the leg work when gearing their own raid character. Raiders are individuals that have shown commitment by satisfying the minimum raid requisite ilevel (of 550-565). Self gearing translates into essential game time and class experience which is invaluable when it comes to knowing what to do and what not to do during a raid. Raiders are entitled to preferential selection on raid days however they are not guaranteed spots - as always, the needs of the guild will come into account. This position demands constant improvement and dedication on the raiders part. A competitive spirit will result in rewards.

Flexible Raiders/Recruits - These members have done all scenario/dungeon/raid content/encounters and killed al bosses raid & world available for Mists of Pandaria, including LFR. Every gear slot is occupied with a PvE LFR ilevel item or equivalent and above. This is an individual that has declared intentions to compete for a spot on the raid roster. A recruit's ilevel will be between (525 and 550 ilevel). The recruit acknowledges that they will render due diligence in order to get their gear necessary for their character readied and prepared to become a full fledged raider.

Members - What guild would be complete without players that enjoy achievements, collecting, questing, crafting, brawling, proving themselves on the grounds, arenas, battlegrounds, and pet battles? If you don't want to raid progressively (or do not like it then this description definitely fits you. Members enjoy the interaction and camaraderie of a busy 25 man raid guild. Being apart of an active guild is what members are all about. Members often comprise the newbies gunning towards flex raiding. Gearing out in timeless gear (generally any ilevel up to 525 ilevel).

PvPers - Hakkar used to be the one of the best PvP servers in the good old days. As it is a PvP server most of our members pvp, have pvp gear, and enjoy pvp content. However, there are some players that live for Arena's and Rated Battlegrounds. They live and sleep in their Gladiator gear and these players don the title PvPer.

Family/Friend - This will apply to the children and youth minors of all of members of Exalted Path. Seeing this rank tagged to a player will indicate that their maturity level requires a patient, polite, and deferential hand when dealing with them.

Probation - You messed up, behaved poorly, or said something that you should not have. When we need to squelch you while we decide your fate or if we want to temporarily reprimand you for your actions, you may end up here.

Alt - We all know what alternatives are.

EXPECTATIONS: COMPLIANCE CHECKLIST

1. Download Ventrilo.

2. Pass a system requirements and ISP speed test.

3. Download the following add-ons from Curse Client: Deadly Boss Mods, Decursive, GTFO, Raid Roll, EPGP Lootmaster, EPGP (dkp) Reloaded, Heal Assign, and Healers have to die.

4. Check your calendar for announcements. We raid four days period its a simple policy. The rules are subject to change per the raid leader according to the guilds needs so check your sources regularly. Always be online and ready to raid even if you are not called upon to raid. If you raid Tuesday and Wednesday helping recruits then you will get to raid Thursday and Sunday. This will build the muscle memory for when we go four days of progression raiding especially for heroics. This is also how we ensure guild mates are helping each other. In advance, officers must be informed of absences. Failure to follow this rule will result in your spot being substituted or your dismissal and removal from guild.

5. Until Draenor, you must have 2 major crafting professions for your raid character that boost your statistics like Engineer/Blacksmith or Tailor/Leatherworker or Inscriptionist/Alchemist etc.

6. You must have 2 class specializations that you know sufficiently and that you can play adequately, and you must maintain gear for both specializations, for example, Shaman Elemental/Restoration sets. In some cases you may wish to invest in 3 specializations worth of gear like Paladin Retribution/Holy/Protection, Monk Mistweaver/Windwalker/Brewmaster, and Druid Balance/Guardian/Restoration.

7. The specializations must be separate roles like healing and dps or tanking and dps. For instance; Protection Paladin and Retribution paladin. A raid guild will not have much use for a Protection Paladin that becomes a Holy Paladin. We will often switch roles in a raid depending on the mechanics of the encounter and a dps swapping into a tank role or healing role or a healer and tank switching into a dps role is far more versatile than tank/heals swap.

8. You must attain (get) a minimum item level of 510 for Flex or 560 for Normal in order to raid. Here is how you can do so quickly, fully upgraded a set of LFR gear, the tier hands and leg drops from the world boss fights (celestials) on the timeless isle, burdens of eternity upgrading timeless pieces, 553 ilevel crafted items purchased from the auction house like the belt, and your legendary cloak can easily help you surpass this requirement and get you ready for normal raiding. Acquit yourself of all available resources, like the addon oqueue to supplement your raiding outside the guild schedule with flexible raids.

9. Upon inspection, all your gear must be item level upgraded.

10. You must have your legendary cloak.

11. Your head item must be socketed with a legendary diamond.

12. Your character must pass a cursory Ask Mr. Robot review, for gems, enchants, and reforging.

13. Use Ask Mr. Robot to print out a (BiS) Best in slot list so you know during raids what loot you need to aim for. Rolling on stuff that you already have because you want coin, is the wrong upgrade due to ignorance, a lateral upgrade due to ignorance, or an attempt to gear a multi spec wthout prior guild authorization will result in severe consequences. Penalties will be applied. Rolling on gear on behalf of others will result in removal.

14. Your character must pass an Armory review for preliminary raid achievements. Minimum achievements that must be completed include all LFR encounters for the Siege of Orgrimmar.

15. As a general rule, 1,000 gold in reserve is sufficient currency to cover costs of your repairs.

16. Retain on your character if possible, a stack of 300 stat appropriate food (mogu fish stew/steamed crab surprise/black pepper ribs and shrimp/sea mist rice noodles/chun tian spring rolls)

17. Retain on your character at all times, if possible, at least five stat appropriate flasks (the warm sun/falling leaves/spring blossoms/the earth)

18. If possible, retain on your character at all times at least 40 situational appropriate potions (the jade serpent/the mountains/mogu power/focus/darkwater)

19. In all seriousness, every raider must watch video and read write ups of all boss fights prior to raids, knowing what to do for your class and specialization, where to stand, how to move, and why to move are crucial. Understanding your role and the mechanics of the fight and the bosses abilities to the extent, that if called upon, you could lead the raid for that particular week should be the expectation.

20. Ventrilo and a working mic are required and mandatory equipment for raid nights, no exceptions, failure to comply will result in removal.

21. During raids, Ventrilo must be kept clear so leaders can direct the guild. Raid leadership will handle the tactics and overall strategy of the encounter and unless called upon, vocal interruptions, overzealous input, insubordinative performance, and overall disruptive attitude and behavior will result in removal. If you have suggestions you may direct them to leadership via whispers. Failure to control your frustrated outbursts, emotional exuberance, or pundit genius will result in mute status, probation, and possible removal.

22. All grievances of any kind must be directed in whispers to officers and leaders and not in Ventrilo or guild chat, failure to comply will result in mute status, probation, and possible removal.

23. Pulling boss early or wiping raid may result in severe monetary penalties up to 3,000 gold.

24. Attendance is mandatory. All absences (extended or not) must be accounted for and you must notify an officer in whispers in lieu of tardiness to raid, premature departure from raid, or emergency situations and mitigating circumstances which force you to quit raid. Depending on the nature of your exit, failure to apply this common courtesy after multiple infractions will result in loss of rank, loss of a raid spot, or removal.

25. It is simple. We are a raid guild. If you fail to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner you will be removed. If you fail to perform the duties of your rank you will be removed or at least reduced in rank. Having a raider online that does not raid is like investing in a car that will never drive. Pointless. Do not sexually harass the females in our guild. Be polite, considerate of others, extend the common courtesies, and keep a positive attitude and you will be fine. This guild will reward you in many ways.

26. Welcome to raiding with Exalted Path.
