Aftermath (http://www.aftermathlb.com) is a Horde guild on
Lightning's Blade (PVP - EST). We’ve currently cleared all 10 and
25 man content, and we're looking to pick up a few exceptional
players to help contribute farming current and clearing future raid
content. Aftermath was created in October of 2005, and over four
years later we’re still running strong. We were the only guild on
Lightning’s Blade to clear Naxxramas pre-BC, and we achieved the
server first kills of every end boss in all of the 25 man raids in
Burning Crusade, from Gruul through Kil’Jaeden.
We have a relatively short raid week, only 12 hours total over the course of four days, yet we manage to keep pace with top guilds that raid two or three times that much. As such, we expect potential applicants to be very knowledgeable about their class, and to have the drive and motivation to put in the work necessary to be successful in a raid environment. Also, since our raid week is fairly short and raid success is directly correlated to consistency on a nightly basis, we do require our members to have as close to 100% attendance as possible.
Raid Schedule
* Tuesday: 9:00 PM -12 AM EST
* Wednesday: 9:00 PM -12 AM EST
* Thursday: 9:00 PM -12 AM EST
* Sunday: 9:00 PM -12 AM EST
Some other points about the qualities that we’re looking for in applicants:
- You should be very knowledgeable about every aspect of your class, not just the particular spec you currently play. You should know how to gem and enchant optimally for all of these specs, and you should know how to play each of them effectively in a raid situation.
-You need to maintain high situational awareness, this goes without saying. I really don’t care if you can put out 7000 DPS on Patchwerk. If you can’t do simple things like step out of Void Zones, CC mind controlled people on KT, decurse/dispel, switch targets effectively, etc, then we don’t want you.
- You need to be accountable for your actions. Everyone is going to make a mistake at some point (we’re human). It’s your job to own up to it, and try to take necessary steps to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. People that want to make excuses every time they die to bad stuff don’t ever improve, so if you’re one of those people, best of luck to you elsewhere.
-You should be willing to put in the time to research encounters ahead of time. This means reading strategies and watching videos when applicable, so we don’t have to spend a couple of hours waiting for people to adjust to things that they could’ve addressed ahead of time.
- You should be prepared with consumables (Flasks, Potions, Food, Shards, Reagents, etc) when you come to a raid. Not doing so is inexcusable. Twenty four other people are relying on you to do your job.
If you're one of those rare individuals who meets all the requirements above and might be interested in joining, check out our website at http://www.aftermathlb.com or feel free to message Khorium or any of our officers in-game. If you wish your application to be private you may also send your application in a private message (to "Masquerader") on our forums.
