Edge Guild
A Lothar Alliance Guild
Mission Statement/ Raid Days
Edge is a small, focused Lothar (Alliance) guild of veteran WoW players and friends who raid on a 3 day schedule. Our members come from a variety of premier raiding guilds on Lothar. Our raiding days are:
- Monday 7:30pm-11:30pm
- Wednesday 7:30pm-11:30pm
- Sunday 6:30pm-11:30pm
Our optional day may be (at times) utilized for farmed content in order to focus on guild progression. Edge aspires to be successful in end game content and encourages an atmosphere of teamwork. We promote a positive attitude within our own guild relationships as well as outwardly into the Lothar community.
Core Principles
Membership in Edge is a PRIVILEGE. It is not a Right. Failure to abide by ANY of our core principles may result in loss of this privilege.
Performance – Every Pull, Every Raid, Every Instance. We require your best performance on EVERY single pull. Our members are highly skilled and come from the most premier guilds on the server: this should show at every pull. When we raid, we raid with a hardcore attitude. You are expected to pot/flask, utilize consumables (Food buffs, Scrolls) and have all your gear enchanted/gemmed to maximize performance. Ask guild mates for help or trade for mats if you need it. The bank has a limited supply of enchant mats but ask if it’s available! Sub-par performance is considered a blatant lack of respect to the other raid members and will not be tolerated.
Determination - A player with determination and dedication shows up consistently on learning nights, performs at their best, and strives for success. Every Edge member is expected to research encounters (read the RL approved strategies, watch videos), farm consumables (Pots/Food/scrolls), and contribute constructively to the raid. Do NOT expect officers to baby sit nor hold your hand.
Respect - Respect for raid leaders (authority), other guild members and other players on the server is a must. Showing respect to other players builds upon the guild image, which in turn attracts quality players. Every Edge member needs to be a part of this positive PR. How can you help? Examples could be: Assist players with quests or instance runs, maintain modesty, congratulate other guilds’ accomplishments regardless of magnitude, and don’t comment unnecessarily in general channels during raids. You carry the Edge image with your every action. Play with honor.
Reliability – We raid 3 days a week, and expect our members to maintain as high attendance as possible. We understand real life issues may occur, and expect members to post on the attendance forum any tardiness/absences. However, missing a day out of 3 days repeatedly can kill our progression. Please be aware that there are 24+ raiding members who are counting on your attendance. Don’t let the team down – post and let us know so the officers can find replacements ASAP. Considerable absences will result in a demotion or other action.
Teamwork – Learning new encounters is often difficult and challenging. The learning process can be filled with frustrating wipes and expensive repair bills. Patience and teamwork is extremely important when dealing with these encounters. Offer constructive suggestions to your team if you find something worked for you in an encounter. Finger-pointing, name-calling, emo-gquits, etc. will not be tolerated. Think before you act, then act like an adult.
