About Us:

<Elysium> is a guild that was created by a merger between Clan VXIX and Semper Gosu on October 22, 2009. With the creation of Elysium, we plan on constructing a guild that will remain competitive among the aggressive guild landscape of Mal'Ganis Horde. Many of the Elysium members have been together since Vanilla WoW and most of us have fully cleared all content leading up the Ulduar (Classic, Burning Crusade, Wrath).

Raid Schedule:

Wednesday: 7PM CST - 11PM CST (25-man content)
Sunday: 6PM CST - 11PM CST (25-man content)
Monday: 7PM CST - 11PM CST (25-man content)

Guild Objectives:

Our main guild objective is to progress through new content at a reasonable speed and remain competitive in the Mal'Ganis landscape of guilds. With the main objective in mind, we have quickly ascended the raid progression ranks of Mal'Ganis raiding guilds and will continuously push to advance the pvp standings of our battlegroup. If you do not enjoy wiping to new content repeatedly, then please search elsewhere for a home.


Expectations:

Ability
This is by far one of the most important areas that we look for in a new recruit. You should be able to understand your class without having to be told to do your own personal research. Moreover, you should remain 100% focused for all raids. If you are unable to move out of void zones, avoid rains of fire and move away from other "near impossible", "hard to avoid" things, then again please look elsewhere. Elysium is not about carrying people through content to get items and not is it about gearing up alts.

Attitude
If you only play this game to have your bags full of every item possible and not contribute socially with the rest of the guild then you can again continue your search for a new home. We enjoy being around positive thinkers and people with a sense of humor to keep raids enjoyable and tolerable. Finally, if you cannot take constructive criticism that will make you a better player then we are not the type of guild for you.

Raid Attendance
Even if you are an amazing player with a great attitude simply not attending raids is by far the fastest way to either get replace or denied. If you are unable to attend at least 80% of our modest 3-day raiding schedule then please do not apply. If you make a habit of leaving raids early or skip raids with great frequency (without notice) then this guild is not for you. We do understand that people have lives and have to get to bed for class/work which is understandably why we have (for what we believe) to be an acceptable raid schedule.

Gear
While gear can be obtained rather quickly, it still remains an issue for us when recruiting new people. We don't mind bringing you "up to speed" but this by no means carrying you from greens to purples. You should be, at the very least, have gear from 25 man Ulduar, Ony, and ToC. You should understand proper gear choices along with gemming and enchanting your items before posting an application.


Becoming a Full-Member:

- Ventrilo and a working mic is a MUST
- Always looking for ways to become a better player
- Be on time for raid invites and keep a very high raid attendance
- Required raiding add-ons installed and properly working
- Know every individual fight before you zone in. (Boss abilities and phases more than strategies)
- Stable internet connection and a computer that wont lock up every 10 seconds
