Misguided Angels is an Alliance raiding guild located on Mal'ganis, a PVP server. We were founded at the end of January 2008 and rapidly progressed through T5 and T6 raid content, completing Sunwell before the release of Wrath of the Lich King. We are currently 9/9 Hard Modes, have done Algalon 25 and 10 man as well as both Glory of the Ulduar Raider. Cleared 5/5 ToGC and obtained the Insanity Achievement. Currently looking forward to Icecrown.

The guild is led by Kelonn and Dinaye. Questions regarding raiding should be directed to them.

During progression, we raid four nights a week: Sunday - Wednesday 7:00-11:00 p.m. CST. Raid invites begin 30 minutes prior to the raid, and raids start precisely at 7.

We do not use DKP. Loot is determined by loot council, which consists of two officers and two raid members. Not using dkp eliminates hoarding, people taking offspec loot over mains, people not taking upgrades, new raiders not being able to get loot for weeks, and various other problems that lend themselves to a lot of drama, and allows us to take into consideration other factors that dkp does not allow. Including raid members prevents there from being officer favoritism and the transparency allows everyone to feel comfortable with the way decisions are made. I realize this may cause qualms for potential applicants, but do not let this discourage you until you have discussed it with some individuals in the guild and gotten their opinion on how it works.

The guild bank provides raiding consumables at a very steeply discounted price (~1/3 of material cost) to all raiders. As such, we do not accept excuses for not coming prepared to raids.

If you have any other questions, please discuss them with Kelonn or Dinaye. If you do not see one of us online, ask a random guild member, as we are probably on one of numerous alts.

Please read the Information for Applicants thread before applying.

You can access it directly here:

We are allways open to recruiting exceptional players and a good application will always be considered regardless of specific raid needs.

Ventrilo applications are available for those who would prefer that, contact Kelonn/Jargo or Dinaye ingame or through forums.

We are looking for people that can meet the following expectations:

1.) Preparation: Our raids begin on time. To facilitate this, you should be on your main character at invite time. When invited to the raid, you should obtain necessary consumables and reagants, repair, and make your way to the instance. You should be present inside the instance and on vent by the time the raid begins.

2.) Attention: We require your attention for 4 hours a night. Constant afks are not well received, so we prefer people who are able to sit still for a decent period of time. You may go afk while we are deciding on loot if you desperately need a drink or to call your mother.

Furthermore, although trash is not the most exciting thing in an instance, it is a necessary part of raiding and wiping on trash because people are slacking off is a waste of time. If you can't pay attention when we're doing trash, you should find another hobby.

3.) Patience: We are not the kind of leaders who rule with an iron fist. If you thrive under the kind of environment where your raid leader is constantly screaming at you, this is not the guild for you. I believe that WoW is a fairly simple game that can be mastered to a reasonable extent by most people with a little bit of practice. I do not believe that a guild can only be successful with people who only make a mistake once and our rapid progression speaks to the validity of this philosophy. We do give people multiple chances to get something right. If you do not have the patience to deal with this, then this is not the right guild for you.

4.) Following Directions: Do not take our patience for mistakes to be a tolerance for people who cannot or will not follow directions. Our strategies are set by the raid leaders, not the raiders. We will listen to your suggestions for improvements only after you have correctly executed our strategy and shown that it does not work. We will not tolerate people who do not or cannot follow the directions they are given. If we give you a healing assignment and you chose not to follow it, and cause us to wipe, you will not spend much more time raiding with this guild.

5.) Attitude: We prefer to raid with people who enjoy raiding for the challenge, not for the loot. Loot is simultaneously a reward for your dedication and effort and a necessary tool for progression. If it is also the only means to feed your ego, this is not the right guild for you.

Along the same lines, please realize that a successful raiding guild does not revolve around one person. No matter how amazing a player you are, the other 24 people in the raid are also needed to progress. If you cannot treat these other people with respect, you will not last very long here.

6.) Flexibility: Understand that sometimes a raid encounter requires a specific composition. You may be asked to sit for someone else or to respec. Creating drama over this is a quick way to earn yourself a gkick.
