What we're looking for

Tragedy is looking for long term members. We are not going anywhere, we want members that will be part of our raiding core that will still be with us for the long haul. Everyone that joins will be an active raider, you will be given a chance to make yourself stand out and earn your raid spot. Understand that during progression we will do whatever is necessary to make the encounter we're learning as easy as possible, if you cannot handle being sat out for a fight do not waste our time. Please know we are very fair with how we handle sitting out certain classes, everyone will see equal raid time whether it's progression or not.

Our ideal applicant has to be a very competitive player as a whole, when you get beat you have to look for ways to improve. You have to be intelligent, every member of Tragedy min/maxes their gear to the best possible and if you currently do not do whatever it takes it will not take long before the officers realize you are not the type of player we are looking for.

To fully test our applicants, we will try to give them one of the hardest jobs in the raid. Note that our application process can be harsh, we only want the best but if we see talent we will help you get there. We do not promote or keep average players, we need players that are completely confident in their abilities to play their class to the fullest.

Expectations

Raid time:
Mon-Thurs 10pm-1am Central
Sundays added for progression

- Apps should be prepared to start raiding immediately upon joining.
- We are currently recruiting for Heroic Mode encounters. If we are not working on a world first kill you should do your research ahead of time and know the encounter.
- Ability to attend all raid days on a regular basis, with no major recurring conflicts.
- Ventrilo, and a working mic. Listening and speaking (at least to convey time-sensitive raid information) are both required.
- A good attitude towards raiding and other players. Members are expected to bring their "A game" to raids every night, not take excessive AFKs, follow instructions, and so on.
- A focus on progression. As a guild, our eyes are always on where we're going next, not where we've been. We move older content aside in favor of unkilled bosses and unfinished achievements, and push finished instances aside as soon as practical to leave more time for progression. If your goal is to farm old instances or "easy mode" bosses, this is not the guild for you.
- A sense of humor. We're rough around the edges, largely uncensored, and critical of each other. We make jokes at each other's expense, and give out constructive, but often blunt criticism when mistakes are made for the good of the raid. If you are easily offended by such things, you will NOT feel at home here.
- Our guild takes raiding very seriously, we do not like wiping on anything. We use consumables for any and all raids we go to, we expect all applicants to be this prepared as well.

We expect all applicants to be able to maintain close to 100% attendance during their trial period. We expect all members to maintain close to 90% attendance. We also do not like having to go through the trouble of having to do extra things just to reach you, you do not have that privilege as an applicant. You need to be reachable at all times even if you are sitting out. You need to be ready to go as soon as we say we need you.

We want you to want to be in our raids, and we will invest in you as much as you invest into us. As a guild, we strive to be the best we can be. We expect our raiders to know as much about a fight as possible before even stepping into the instance.

App Process

To submit an application download the PDF at http://www.tragedy-guild.us/tragedy-application.pdf, fill it out and email it to tragedy.apps AT gmail.com.

After you submit an app , we will contact you via email within 5-7 days to schedule an interview. After, we will bring you into the guild for a ~30 day trial period where we will evaluate your overall performance - skill, attitude, attendance, and so on. At the end of the 30 days, or slightly before or after depending on performance, presuming all goes well, you will be promoted to Member status.

Contact Information

If you have any specific questions about the guild, the app process or anything not listed here, feel free to contact Atreidies, Kaoslegend, Contracow or Hatchling in-game on the Mal'Ganis server. Please do not contact guild members simply to check the "status" of your app.
