Hi everyone. Spike Flail on Ner'zhul(PVP) is looking for a few more
dedicated raiders to join us as we push on in our WoLK Progression.
We have players from all timezones but raid primarily EST/CST time,
with raids of Sun-Wends from 6:30 PM EST - 11 PM EST.
Pre 3.0, we completed our H:GoTR. In Ulduar 25 we've cleared all 9 of the Heroic Glory HMs, earning our Ironbound Proto-Drakes. We've also cleared Algalon25, clocking in 38th in the US to do so, and we've finished Ulduar by achieving "Alone in the Darkness," clocking in 20th US and earning our Death's Demise titles.
In 3.2, we've cleared both Normal and Heroic ToC, including a US 20th Tribute to Skill and a US 63rd Tribute to Mad Skill. We finished our ToGC progression recently with a US #32 Tribute to Insanity. We are now farming our 272 Cloaks and Tribute chests and working on the 3.3 PTR, gearing and preparing ourselves for 3.3's release and the race in ICC's progression.

About Spike Flail:
We raid four nights a week, four hours per night. We have members from all over continental North America, however the majority of our raiders are EST based, and thus we raid EST. We currently raid from Sunday-Wednesday, from 7 PM EST - 11 PM EST, with raid invites starting at 6:30 PM EST. Our schedule tries to leave weekends open for our members to enjoy their social lives, and thus "only" runs 4 days, so if you can't make the majority of these raids for whatever reason, its probably not the best idea to apply to us.
We take raiding serious, but we also know this is a game and meant to be enjoyed. While I know that sounds cliche and overused, I'm honestly proud to say that we're not the type of guild that takes raiding so seriously that we have run completely in the authoritarian manner and forget why we're playing. Our main goal is to maintain a professional environment in which we can play this game and progress, and we try to take that mentality into how we conduct ourselves when it comes to raiding and our reputation on our server. We've worked hard to create this professional and respectful atmosphere, and if you ask around on our server, I guarantee you'd be hard pressed to find a large number of people who've ever heard bad things about Spike Flail.
We currently run a silent bid DKP system, which myself or another Officer can give details on if necessary on request.
What we're looking for:
Our general requirements are as follows:
MOST IMPORTANTLY: You must be an intelligent person, and be able to convey your intelligence in how you present yourself. This includes knowing game mechanics, having quick reaction time, and being able to learn from your mistakes. You should know the theorycraft to min/max your class, and what abilities to use when. You must be able to learn quickly from your mistakes and adapt to new situations, as well as have a strong sense of situational awareness and the ability to multi-task effectively. You also must be able to express yourself in a way that shows you're an intelligent human being, this includes proper grammar and sentence structure.
Prospective Trials must be completely knowledgeable of their class's theorycraft and mechanics, dedicated and dependable raiders, and overall knowledgeable and skilled players. Our specific class needs are as follows:
HIGH PRIORITY:
- Feral Driud
- Hunter
- Rogue
- Holy/Disc Priest
MID PRIORITY:
- Mage
How to contact us:
If you're interested in applying, you can visit our forums at http://www.spikeflail.net/ and put an application in on the appropriate forum. Please be sure to read all the stickies before applying, if you can't be bothered to read the stickies and follow application directions you probably will not be considered for a trial. :) You also can roll a level 1 on Ner'zhul and chat with myself or any other Spike Flail officer.
Please be sure to read over all the information we've presented on our forum before making a decision to apply. However please don't belittle yourself by simply glancing over our information and tossing an application with no effort behind it. The application process is partly an attempt to weed our those who can't read stickies or form a proper sentence, so please remember that an application is your first impression, so try to make it as well crafted as possible.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!
