“Panacea” WoW Guild

Panacea is a newer guild on Quel'dorei, and who started enjoying its first raiding week on April 10th, 2012. It was quite late in the cata xpac, but we made up for lost time, and finished 3rd on the server in cata.

We are a hard core raiding guild that raids on a lighter schedule. If you are looking to apply you must first of all be a selfless, stand up person. If looking for ways to help others isn't really your forte, that's fine, but don't app here.

Second of all, you can insert all those common things guilds ask their raiders to be <here>. Be warned our core group is made up of exceptional players and if you're kidding yourself or us you might get yourself an ginvite, but you won't see any raiding time in the core group.

You need to know your class and spec well enough to be able to write a guide, not that we are going to ask you to. You need to want that kill bad enough that you want to stay that extra 20 minutes to get the kill. You are not the person that whispers the RL that it's pointless and we should just come back next week with more gear. Preparing for fights does not mean you've watched a vid while waiting for a BG queue. You will come knowing what tips and tricks there are for your class. You will know what the other raiders will be doing so you can make their job easier. In essence, you care more about that kill than you've ever cared about anything in your life. Okay, I'm exaggerating a tad, but not much.

Current recruiting needs in rough order of interest:

It appears once again we could use another tank. You must have reasonable gear in addition to being a great player and communicator. I've been tanking in close to 520 gear as a fill in, and would continue to do that over gearing someone up from 500ish level gear.

We would love to have a stellar mage join our dps ranks, and I do mean stellar. You need to be able to execute raid mechanics while throwing up some noteworthy numbers. We do have the flexibility of gearing a mage up if you can demonstrate it's worth our time.

We raid Tues, Thurs, and Sun 7:45-11:00 CST. Those times are firm. If you can't make every day, or accept an invite right around 7:45 it's not going to work out. We don't raid much so we need to make the very best of what we do.

As always we would consider any exceptional player and try to make the class/spec synergy work.

Talk to Keshlana or Stormoon in game. While we have a guild website, we are requesting that at the current time you do not use it for applications.

I apologize if any of this seems harsh. I'm upfront and blunt, but also quite nice and easy going. It just doesn't do anyone any good to have a misunderstanding of expectations. Everyone else in the guild with one exception is friendlier than I am. People often play other games together. We make fun of our other tank, talk Vikings football, pvp, cry about lfr and dailies, etc.
