About Casually Serious
We are a mature casual raiding guild. We recognize that people have real life responsibilities, and have tried to balance that with a guild that has goals to progress through the coming Cataclysm expansion. The guild was formed 3 years ago, during the Burning Crusade expansion and have been able to make notable progress with a casual approach.
Our goal is to have guild members that possess the following criteria:
1. Class Knowledge - Know how to play your class. While we are happy to provide feedback and assistance, we expect that you will do your homework. You should know what gear is good for you, what spec is appropriate for your role, what flasks and other consumables are fitting, and in general have a desire to be the best player that you can be.
2. Good Attitude/Maturity - We have an expectation that members will not be trolling in trade, being a loot ninja, or otherwise representing the guild in a poor light. We also expect that you will treat guildies with respect and in general not behave in a negative manner. We will generally not accept members below the age of 18, as we are for the most part an adult guild that regularly has adult content in guild chat and ventrilo.
3. Attendance - We do not have a strict attendance policy, but we do expect that if you join the guild with the intent to raid, that you do so. Sign up for raids that you expect to attend, and provide feedback to the leadership if you are not able to attend. Because of the casual nature of our guild, we will recruit to fill spots on all three of our raid nights. Do not expect a raid spot if you are late, or did not sign up.
4. Thick Skin - We are a guild that thrives on constructive feedback. If you cannot tolerate other players suggesting ways to improve, then this isn't the guild for you. We think that this format is a great way to get better at playing your character. We have intelligent players here with multiple characters that can advise individuals on their performance. If we think you're screwing up, we'll let you know what we observed and what you need to do to ensure it doesn't happen again. Please, do not take it personal.

We understand not everyone has time or desire to commit to raiding, but realize that many enjoy leveling, working on professions, running dungeons, pvp and running raid instances with alts and still have a guild home with fellow adults. Your participation helps our guild level and you enjoy the benefits including vanity items, easier leveling and mounts with an established guild.
