Guild Profile

Primary Language: English
Raids per week: 3
semi-hardcore
Recruiting (outdated):
all classes
Empyrean is a semi-hardcore raiding guild with a relatively relaxed raiding schedule. In preparation for Warlords of Draenor, we have converted to 25-man raiding.

Raid Times:
Tuesday - 8:45pm to 12:00am CST/CDT (server time)
Thursday - 8:45pm to 1:00am CST/CDT (server time)
Sunday - 8:45pm to 1:00am CST/CDT (server time)

Information:
Over time we have learned that a good attitude is much more beneficial to the raid group than awesome numbers. We have worked very hard to bring in raiders that contribute to our atmosphere, not those who would derogate it. That being said, we are a hard-mode raiding guild; therefore, there are certain expectations in regards to performance. Prospective raiders must trial with us prior to being accepted permanently. This is so that we may get to know your capabilities and personality.

During your trial you will not have priority on loot, and will likely be sat on the majority of encounters. If confirmed, you will then become a core or backup raider depending on our needs. We run a rotating roster; most raiders will sit as some point. Realistically though, on progression attempts we will bring the 25 most beneficial players that are available.

What Is Expected Of Trials:
DPS will be judged on sustained damage output and interrupts (if needed). Healers will be judged on sustained healing output, reactionary healing capability, and mana management. Tanks will be judged on overall survivability, active mitigation uptime, and threat. All trials are expected to sustain a high caliber of output while successfully executing fight mechanics and properly using personal defensive cooldowns.

Everyone, will be judged on their attitude. If we determine that you don't fit this group from a personality standpoint, we will drop you even if you are the best player in the world.

Attendance/Punctuality:
Raiders must have flawless attendance (barring extreme emergencies). We understand that real life takes priority over a video game. However we all pay the same monthly subscription, and in order for the group to function as a whole we need people to honor the commitment they made to this raid. Therefore if you constantly have random engagements, rotating work schedules, intermittent internet connectivity, continual bad luck, or ANY other issues that will affect your punctuality/attendance -- this is absolutely not the group for you. Be on time and don't AFK!

Calendar Invites:
48 hours prior to the raid, we will lock the calendar invites. If you have not responded at that time, you will no longer be able to. Forgetting to respond is NOT a good thing. We will make note of it, and it will affect you future standing with us.

If you mark yourself as declined, we will look to replace you for the week. If you mark yourself as tentative, we will look to replace you for the week. If you mark yourself accepted, we will either confirm you or change it to standby -- based off our needs. If you are not confirmed but we leave your status as accepted, this does NOT mean you are on standby, it just means we need to see what our composition looks like on the raid night. If you fail to show after you've marked yourself as accepted, you are out.

Loot Policy:
We use a loot council. We will be distributing gear in a way that rewards attendance, participation, execution, and raw skill. We WILL be playing favorites. By doing so, we reward the players who have been here the longest and/or play the best. These are the raiders that have put in the most effort towards the group's current progression. They have earned their seniority. Some of them having been waiting a long time for certain coveted pieces. Even after your trial is over, they may still maintain priority.

If loot is a common point of contention for you, do not bother filling out an application. We do not put up with loot drama, we simply remove people.

Current Needs:
Part of running a 25-man is dealing with high turnover. It comes with the territory. With this in mind, we are always recruiting exceptional player of any role/class/spec. Our only restrictions are that you have some current raiding experience, and a minimum average item level of 550 (and we mean MINIMUM -- preferably your item level would be much higher).
