“Paralysis” Guild

Paralysis is a semi-hardcore raiding guild located on Sargeras (PvP), founded by a group of friends wanting to raid progression content at a relaxed, yet focused pace in order to turn that effort into success. We are currently 9/14H (14/14N) SoO.

CURRENT RECRUITING:

We are currently interested in recruiting the following roles/classes for a raid spot on our 10-man Team:

•1 Tank
Brewmaster Monk, or
Prot Paladin, or
Blood DK

•1 Healer
Resto Shaman (with viable off-spec)

•1 DPS
Warlock (destruction or affliction)


We are looking to recruit all roles/classes and exceptional players for Warlords of Draenor for mythic raiding. Note: Applicants will be trialed on farm content and may not be in for progression bosses at this time.

SCHEDULE
Tuesday: 10:00 PM-1:00 AM
Wednesday: 10:00 PM-1:00 AM
Thursday: 10:00 PM-1:00 AM
Friday/Saturday/Sunday: other guild activities (not required)
Monday: 10:00 PM - clear (approx. 1 hour)
All raid times are Central Time.

What we are looking for in our recruits:

Reliability & Dedication: We are looking for mature, honest, responsible and reliable players who will always let us know in advance when they are going to miss a raid night. We have a light raid schedule for progression-based raiding that requires committed players to make it work. You're expected to put forth the required effort to maintain your character in a raid-ready state and to maintain our raid atmosphere. This means obtaining the best gear you can obtain with full, proper gems and enchants, and any reputation necessary to maximize your character. We provide consumables (potions, flasks, and feasts) for every raid, but we do ask you do your part to contribute to the guild to help maintain items (farms).

Personality: We are looking for mature players who can take a joke and not be easily offended. We are looking for players that know how to play in a team environment because raiding has the objective of killing the boss. We have a relaxed atmosphere and joke around on farm content but expect you to be serious on progression and non-farm bosses. The ideal applicant would be capable of receiving criticism without taking it personally, providing constructive input on boss strategies (what's working/not working), and always striving to improve themselves.

Gear: While we don't have any specific gear requirements, your legendary questline completion/progress is a large factor this late in the expansion. Your gear is an indication of your competence and effort you've put into your character. We only expect you to have the best gear reasonably available at your current level of progress and understand you will not be full BiS gear. Raiding achievements completed when content was current are a plus, as well as previous raid experience of other expansions.

Skill: Topping the healing and damage meters is great, but we're really looking for players that can stay alive during encounters and not be the cause of your own death or another player's death. We stress that we are looking for team players who will prioritize what is best for the raid over their individual numbers.

Knowledge: We expect you to fully understand the mechanics of your class. Discussion with other raiders is encouraged, but you shouldn't be relying on others to teach you how to play your class. You must also have a full understanding of each boss fight in which you expect to participate. You should also know what a World of Logs parse is and how to get one.
