Driven to Conquer is always looking for exceptional players to add to its competitive roster.

What We Do:

Everything that the game has to offer at the highest possible level! Our 2 main focuses in Cataclysm are end-game raiding, and PVP. In the past, PVE was our only focus. Blizzard has decided to up the ante and we have gone all in.

What We Don't Do:

We don't raid 6+ nights a week, and we don't hold mandatory raids or PVP sessions until the wee hours of the morning.

How You Can Join Us:

On the righthand side of our front page, you'll see a list describing our class recruitment priorities for raiding. If you fit one of the classes we're looking for, you'll want to register for the Driven to Conquer message board. Then, fill out our application to the best of your ability and post it on our Recruitment forum. Our officers will review your application shortly. Expect to receive feedback from our members as well. If your application is accepted, you will be invited to the guild as an Applicant, a phase which will last 2 or 3 weeks. At the end of your Applicant phase, we will hold a private discussion and vote, during which all of our raiders will be able to offer their feedback. The result of this vote will determine whether or not you become a full Raider.

Respect your current/former guild!

Please be courteous to the guild you are leaving. When you apply to DTC, make sure that you are not currently carrying the tag for another raiding guild. It wouldn't be fair to them that you could possibly be receiving loot while applying elsewhere. We expect all of our future applicants to give the same respect to other guilds as they would give to DTC, this includes trash talking trolling in trade and on forums.

Behavior:

Please be respectful to other players, both inside and outside the guild. Trashing our reputation by griefing or publicly insulting people is not behavior we tolerate.

We are primarily an 18-and-older guild, so our chat areas can sometimes dip into mature territory, which is usually fine. However, genuine mean-spirited racist or sexist comments are unwelcome. That goes for our Vent as well as guild and raid chat. This is just an extension of being respectful to other players.

Almost everyone loses their temper at some point. Curses can fly and you can get in a bad mood. However, if your temper and bad attitude become a continuous problem that we have to deal with, we would rather not have you with us.

Personal problems should be brought to the attention of the officers, not to the attention of the guild. If you have a problem that keeps surfacing again and again in our chat areas despite our best efforts to resolve it, or if it's affecting our raids and activities, it's unlikely that you'll stay with the guild.

Play:

We expect everyone who wants to participate in end-game raiding to have a good deal of knowledge about their class in addition to a certain enthusiasm for learning new things and seeing new content. We have been around since the early days of raiding, and Blizzard's 25-man and 10-man raids have significantly less tolerance for poor players than their 40-man predecessors. Our officers are here to watch the effectiveness of your play, in addition to your attendance and general attitude. You shouldn't worry about minute-to-minute scrutiny, but even if you've made it through your Applicant phase, that doesn't mean we're here to give you a free ride.

Our Loot Rules:

Our full loot rules are in the member section of our website and will be made available to you if your application is accepted. We use a DKP bidding system with item priority based on talent spec. Despite Blizzard's introduction of the "dual specialization" option, we expect our raiders to choose one and only one spec for which to receive loot priority. Some players will have defined dual roles in the raid and will have a lower priority than main specs. We only apply our DKP system to 25-man raid instances; 5-man and 10-man dungeons are not "officially sanctioned" so to speak, and we do not award nor do we utilize DKP during them. During our main raids, Applicants accumulate DKP at the same rate as normal members. However, they cannot spend their DKP on items over full-time members during their application process.

Technical:

One of the most important thing you'll need in order to raid with us is a stable internet connection. If your connection constantly drops out, requiring us to stop our activities until you come back, or if you have latency that interferes with your responsiveness while playing the game, we would kindly ask you to fix your connection or reconsider your options.

Additionally, you will need Ventrilo to participate in raids. You don't need to use a microphone to talk to us, but we do request that you listen. The addon Deadly Boss Mods is also required. Any other addons you wish to use to help you perform at a higher level are highly recommended.
