Do I have what it takes to join AoO?
To Join AoO you have at least 25 man quality gear though exceptions can be made for exceptional players, must have ventrilo, and if at all possible have some knowledge of the content that we are currently raiding. You can check our website to know exactly where we are in raid progression.
What are loot rules?
At AoO we run on Loot Council. Loot is given out judging on various factors like attendance, seniority, past loot, and performance.
Attendance:
Do you show up to raids consistently? Are you on time? Do you stay until the end of the raid? If your attendance isn’t very consistent you aren’t going to be very high priority when it comes to getting loot.
Performance:
Performance isn’t just about meters. Some of the things we look for out of our raiders performance wise include:
Being prepared for the Raid:
Did you have consumables? (buff food, flasks, pots, reagents etc..) Did you read up on a new fight or at least watch a video? Did you bring your resist set or any other special item needed for a specific fight? Did you set
out enough time to stay for the entire duration of the raid? Also, make sure you have any add-ons you need for raiding and that those add-ons are up to date. We are now requiring Deadly Boss Mods for all raiding members.
Knowing your class:
When we ask something of you in a raid we expect a quick response. Know what your class's role is in a raid and be ready to do whatever might be asked of you. Also be aware of threat, pay attention to omen and use your class's aggro wipes as often as possible. There is no excuse for taking aggro, at this point in the game you should understand how threat works and be attentive enough to avoid pulling off a tank.
Boss fight performance:
Are you aware of your surroundings? Can you follow instructions and learn a fight? Can you stay alive during a boss fight? And if so, how are you doing in comparison to the rest of the raid?
Raid times:
Our Major Raids are always scheduled Sun-Tues 8pm-12pm with invites going out around 7:30 server time, although we have been known to pull earlier. Ten man raids will be done on off nights and are not required. Though we can understand and excuse a few absences from raids, we ask that you have at least 80% attendance. If for any reason you can’t make a raid be sure to post it in the forums so
that no action is taken against you for not showing up.
