<Means to an End> is looking to fill out our raid roster with a few specific roles we are short on.

The founding members of Means to an End are all end game raiders who have been together since early BC. We've spent those years in various guilds spanning several servers but have always tried to stick together. This time we've decided to go our own way and make a home we can be happy with in the long term.

All of us are working adults, many with children of our own. While our real life responsibilities keep us from playing as often as we want (24/7), we are in game frequently and take our raiding seriously. You will find some of the most knowledgeable and dedicated raiders you could hope to know among our officer core.

With that said we all like to have a good time. We enjoy eachother's company and love to give eachother a hard time. The average sense of humor here tends towards the obscene, and vulgar language, while not thrown about wantonly, is not uncommon. Even when we're ragging on eachother though, its all in good fun.

As the name implies this guild is, in fact, a means to an end. Any well organized guild should be designed to further the goals of its members. In turn the roster should be carefully filled with those who's goals coincide with the guild as a whole. The guild is a means to its members ends and vice versa.

The goal of Means to an End is to complete all available ten man content. This includes hard modes as well as normal content. Not just the current tier but all previous tiers. It even includes some retro raiding each week. While the current tier will always be our main focus, there are a lot of ways to define progress.

To achieve our goals we fill our roster with a reasonable number of dedicated and skilled raiders. Raiders are expected to be well versed on their class/spec, as well as the fights we are doing. They should be prepared to run each raid and prepared to wipe while learning encounters. This is what we are here for so there is no reason to not be giving it your best.

We place an emphasis on respect. Respect for your fellow raiders as well as other people on our server. No one is here to disparage or insult another member of our guild. Nor do we tolerate "ninjas", whether in our raids or a PuG. Finally respect your fellow guildies enough to show up ready to go one hundred and ten percent every raid.

All that said everyone is playing this game to have fun. We love to joke around and give eachother a hard time. Progression bosses are a time to be serious and focused but there is plenty of time in between for horse play. It is important to recognized the difference between fun time and "go time" because I find that getting bosses down is a lot more fun than wiping.

Finally recognize that gear is also a means to an end. That loot will always drop again and eventually the piece you thought was so important is near worthless. While loot comes and goes the feeling you get when downing a boss for the first time is what we should all be here for. We all love our shinines just remember you gear to raid, not raid to gear.

This description is also a means to an end. If this guild sounds like your style then hit us up. We are always seeking new, talented raiders.
