“Alpha” WoW Guild

<Alpha> of Ysera is a US top 25 guild recruiting for Heroic Anub'arak and Icecrown.

We are looking for the right individuals to help us get back to the top 10. We are looking to recruit 2 Priests(Holy or Disc) 1 Feral Druid, 1 Tank DK, 1 Prot Pally, and 1 Holy Pally. These are raid spots for EVERY DAY raiders. We are not recruiting to put you on the bench.

Current Progression:
In Heroic ToC 25 we've cleared through Twins, and are working on Anub.

Who we are:

<Alpha> is a group of talented players that want to clear content as fast as possible, while raiding 5 nights a week, 4 hours a night. We formed in April of 2007, shortly after TBC launched. This is a guild of dedicated people who take great pride in both the guild and it’s accomplishments. Our guild milestones include:

TBC – Sunwell cleared pre-3.0 (US 45th KJ)
Wrath – US 1st Naxx 25, US 2nd Malygos and OS 25, US top 10 3 Drake/5 min Maly, US 28th Yogg-Saron
Wrath – The immortal, Heroic: Glory of the Raider, and Heroic: Glory of the Ulduar Raider

Our raid times are Sunday-Thursday 7:30-11:30 EST, but as needed during key progression times. In addition we also spend time on the PTR when applicable.


What we are looking for:

We proved we can compete on a level playing field with the big boys, and want to recruit a few more players at that caliber.

<Alpha> expects our members to know how to maximize their class and spec.

As a dps, you will be coming into one of the top dps guilds in the world. We strive to push our DPS as much as possible, and it is not uncommon for us to hold many top DPS parses for both individuals and the guild. You will be expected to comfortably hold your own, and display a sound knowledge of not just your own role within an encounter, but the encounter as a whole. Your ability to use the tools at your disposal to survive on encounters will be critical to your survival in the guild. If you're a mage that died without an iceblock, expect to hear about it.

As a tank, you will be joining our team of highly competitive meat-shields. Sometimes our over-exuberant dps don't quite know the limits, and it will be your job to save them from themselves. In addition, you will be expected to know the strengths and weaknesses of all the tanking classes, and to work with the other tanks on the roster and the raid leader, to ensure we get the most out of everyone. We are very demanding of our tanks, and as such know the value of a good tank.

As a healer, you will find yourself constantly under pressure here. In our relentless pursuit of dps, we frequently run healer light, and you'll be fighting the gcd to keep up, but we know you like a challenge. However we are not a guild that mindlessly blames healers for every death. Listening to our vent, you are much more likely to hear "where was the healthstone?" than "holy shit why didn't you heal him?". You'll be expected to work with the other healers to set up the most efficient healing strategy for each encounter we come to. It's also expected that you have an offspec which you enjoy, and are very comfortable playing.

We expect all prospective members to want to destroy content at the fastest possible rate, while still only raiding 5 days a week.

We are looking for players that don't have time constraints or other people controlling their play time.

We want guild members that do not simply show up for raids, but integrate themselves into our guild. We are not a guild that will shit on you as an app just for the hell of it. New members that show themselves to have the quality to play here are absorbed into the group very quickly.

We expect that all apps will be able to properly handle constructive criticism. If you screw up, expect to be called on it by the guild as a whole. If you are someone who will just go mute on vent when questioned, this is not the place for you.
