If you are going to play Diablo 3, then you will be interested to see our new website DiabloProgress.

DiabloProgress will be fully launched shortly after Diablo 3 release. It will include progression ranking, leveling ranking, gear rankings and many other features!

Based on information from developer interviews, Inferno mode is going to be really hard and there will be no official ladder. DiabloProgress probably will be your primary source about all the progression data and statistics for the game.

    I guess now that we have an announcement for the D3 API, your rankings system will be ready to retroactively update itself for progression. Let's hope the API is enabled very soon!

    I guess you have to understand that Blizzard still haven't release API for Diablo3.

    So I originally thought DiabloProgress was a great idea. I saw they were asking for battletags to collect information, and, since I've been using wowprogress for some time without issues, I added mine in. Now I get at least one friend request per day from a web site selling gold and power leveling. Not cool. This is the only place I've given out my battletag to, so be warned if anyone else wants to try this, expect them to pass your info along.

    1. That's not true, we didn't share any battletags.

    2. You're giving out your battletag every time you join a multi-player game.

    3. We do plan to open battletags to public though, possibly with an option to hide you battletag.

    May I suggest you default this to hidden?
    I understand that eventually when Blizzard release the D3 Armoury that the link to characters might be via BattleTag/Number/Character slugs, but as far as I am aware the API will be available before the Armoury, and it would be better to err on the side of hiding battletags until Blizzard make the first move and make them public.

    D3 Armory is coming at the end of this month/beginning of the next month. They are going to release API and the Armory at the same time as I know.
