Long time World of Warcraft player, going back to the beginning of classic on 11/23/2004 (and even a little further back into classic beta).

I raided fairly hardcore during the early years. I raided with a team called Four Feathers to begin through Molten Core & Blackwing Lair, and was part of the Officer core as the Mage Class Leader (https://www.wowprogress.com/character/us/earthen-ring/Valcronde).

When Four Feathers split up, I transitioned over to one of Earthen Ring (US)'s top guilds of the time, Shadow Remains as one of their Mages. I raided with SR through the remainder of classic in AQ40, and Naxx40, and BC though the earlier raid tiers. Around the time of Black Temple, I had to scale back my in game commitments to focus a bit more on real life, and dropped out of the core raiding team on SR.

I stayed a non-raiding member of Shadow Remains for a long while. Up through the end of BC, I continued to main my mage, until the announcement of Death Knights for Wrath. I would have always mained a DK if they'd been available from the start, just given my interest in them from the Warcraft III days. I swapped over to this character as my new main, but I only did more casual content through most of Wrath, Cataclysm, and Pandaria given real life concerns. I took off WoW through the second half of Cata, and Mists to focus on finishing up school at night and getting my degree.

During Warlords I continued to play very casually until I reconnected with folks from Four Feathers that were now together again with a group called Assimilation. They were joining another guild called The Praxeum and were raiding again. I ran a few higher level dungeons with them, and then decided to give raiding a shot again, and began again during Hellfire Citadel. I pretty much fell back in love with conquering the higher level content again right away.

I've stayed with The Praxeum raiding through HFC, EN, ToV, NH, and ToS. Earlier this year I joined the Officer team of The Praxeum and have been working to try and help coach some of our DPS team through improving numbers.

IRL I have worked as a Software Developer, Database Developer and have been largely focused on Data Analytics and Intelligence over the past decade, before moving up into management of those teams, through Team Lead, Manager, and Director levels. I'm someone that is very comfortable parsing logs and trying to figure out where improvements can be made. I started creating performance charts The Praxeum team based on warcraftlogs, and tracking how folks were doing week to week to try and help boost and show performance improvements.

As a player I am someone that's very passionate about Warcraft, it's been a big part of my life for so long.

I run and evaluate my logs to see where I can improve. I can typically parse 85%+ most of the time for my iLvl, and frequently parse in the orange range with a few 99%s for my iLvl through NH & ToS. If I haven't hit orange, I'm not typically happy with how I did and start looking for ways I can get there. I don't really tank, and don't have much experience doing it, but I focus on DPS and how to be the best I can be there whether I'm running Frost or Unholy for my Death Knight. I have good raid awareness, and watch both the meters to track performance while in progress, as well as scan the upcoming mechanics cooldowns so that I can adequately plan for how to most effectively use my abilities. I research raids, watch videos of fights to learn them beforehand, join various different Discord chats and watch discussions in different websites on how to best execute my class.

Ideally, I like being Unholy best, but I am always happy to check out Frost depending on how the class is doing as a whole. I run Exorsus raid tools, DBM, Skada, and program my own WeakAuras to help me track what I need during runs to help me achieve high levels of output, with the understanding that the job of a DPS is not just to get high numbers, but to execute on the mechanics, minimize incoming damage to not strain the healers, and maximize your outgoing dps while doing that.

At this point I have all the Unholy legendary items, most of the Frost ones, a couple Blood. I have my Unholy artifact weapon at fairly high levels of Concordance, and at least Frost & Blood at Concordance level 1. But I am enjoying having all my focus be through Unholy.

I was running higher level M+ content with my friends from the Assimilation team up until around Easter when most of the team decided to leave Legion again for a bit. I would ideally like to find another M+ team to hit the challenging content with again. As for raids, I've been focused on trying to help our raid team get through Heroic levels before Ahead of the Curve is no longer available.

Beyond my main character, I typically level one of each class to maximum level each expansion before the end, though I do not do much end game content on them, unless there is something really really specific I want to try and get on my alts. I also like to collect transmog items to try and put together different appearances for my main & alts. I'm a bit of a completionist, so I like to try and keep boosting my Achievement points, grind out faction reputations (at least once on my main). I do most of the quests that are out there. I am happy to grind through old raids for items, appearances, mounts, etc. I also enjoy RolePlaying on my character, though I do this very casually, and am only usually in character when someone else is.
