“Der Mithrilorden” Guild

RDH was formed in early May 2010 with the intention of building up a solid roster in time for the release of Cataclysm. Most of our members have known each other from some of the better guilds on Aggramar, whilst others became friends through the original AggramarElites channel. Our guild has slowly grown, so now we have a wide range of players from all kinds of raiding backgrounds. We feel as if we are moulding into a tightly-knit community, and are having a great time doing so!

When Blizzard announced that ten- and twenty-five man gear and achievements would be homogenized with the release of the expansion, we made the firm choice to focus on ten-man content. For the short time we have been established, we have overcome all of the ten-man encounters thrown at us, on both normal and heroic difficulties.

What RDH expects from you

Free time to raid from 20:00 to 00:00, three nights per week, usually Sunday, Monday, and Thursday (days may vary), without fail.

Complete knowledge of your class and spec. You will be tested, questioned and scrutinised, so make sure your knowledge is up to scratch.

A thick skin is a must. You will be told when you are not performing well, and you may well be replaced. If you cannot take constructive criticism, then RDH is certainly not the guild for you.

The ability to be proactive, i.e. research encounters before we reach them, and have something useful to say when it comes down to forum discussions and tactical analysis.

A friendly demeanour is paramount. We do not tolerate poor attitudes, bad-mouthing or any kind of bullying within the guild. At the end of the day, we are all here to have a good time.

We require that you are fluent in English and are able to, at the very least, listen to Ventrilo, but preferably speak.

We do not enforce a strict age policy, but play each applicant by ear. It is agreed that age has little bearing on a person’s maturity and, therefore, their ability to play WoW to the standard required by RDH. Obviously, we are wary of particularly young folk, as the guild banter can get a bit saucy sometimes.

What you can expect from RDH

A guild with a highly competitive nature, with a roster of players who are fully committed to the guild’s progress.

We have a very strong community within the guild; a friendly, but banter-filled atmosphere that is great fun to be a part of once you get used to it. We also have an active website and forum that we would encourage all of our new recruits make use of.

A solid leadership and the highest standard of raids lead by knowledgeable and experienced individuals.

Loot is distributed via loot council. We take the view that loot is a tool, not a reward, and therefore it is given out according to how it best benefits the guild. Generally, loot would be given out to whoever is felt to have performed the best and been most active during progression. Although, exceptions may be made where circumstances force us to give certain players certain items.

Recruitment Status

Recruitment is open for all classes. We are looking to expand our roster with exceptional, competitive, and highly-motivated players. This is because we have been operating with quite a small roster, and lately, this has become quite limiting.

In addition, do not be put off from applying because you feel we have what you might perceive as a lot of a particular class. Raid spots are performance-based and if you can show that you are better than someone else, then the spot will be yours. Just remember, a lot of the best players come from lesser known guilds, and are generally, unknown players who want to prove themselves; diamonds in the rough, so to speak. If you feel that you are one of these people, then we urge you to apply; RDH is a firm believer in giving people the chance to prove themselves.
