“Aevus” Guild

History and information about Aevus

Aevus derived from the remnants of Holy Crusade. During the ICC patch, it was decided that Holy Crusade was to become a 10man guild in Cataclysm, and therefore Aevus was born. We are a 10man guild that is semi-hardcore with four raids a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as back up), raiding from 19:30-23:00 with the prime intention of enjoying raids but also succeeding in killing bosses.

Aevus are currently recruiting very geared and exceptionally skilled players to continue progress through 10 man heroics.

Recruitment is currently open for the following classes and specs:
Skilled players are always free to apply,

Death Knight: open (DPS)
Druid: closed
Paladin: closed
Priest: closed
Rogue: closed
Warrior: closed
Warlock: open (dps doh!)
Hunter: open (Doh!)
Shaman: closed
Mage: closed

Exceptional players will always be considered.

Criteria:

The criteria is basic. We expect potential applicants to:

-be punctual for raids; if you know you are to turn up late, contact Razarous, Bunnyz or Blindsoul through in-game mail or any other possible way you can communicate with them,

-have extensive knowledge of your class; we want you to perform to the best of your ability, we are all playing to enjoy the game, if you perform as best you can, we can all enjoy it together,

-gemming and enchanting your gear correctly; this criteria comes hand in hand with the criteria above,

-purchasing all consumables needed to raid that will boost your performance; this isn't a must but, as said above, performing to the best of your ability is key; also the guild will provide the essentials, such as flasks and a variety of food,

-read up on tactics for boss encounters before we attempt them; this will make you prepared for said boss encounters and enable you to plan ahead and mitigate the effect of certain mechanics that need migitating, it will also ensure that you optimise your performance by creating a custom spec for said boss encounter, if need be,

-possess the gear to raid the content at the moment; you should be performing above your threshold in raids, in order to put out the most damage while adhering to the mechanics of the boss, and if your gear prevents you from doing so, then you are not performing at a level the boss encounter requires

-have a personality; this is vital for fitting in, however if you're quiet, that's quite alright ;D - a guild isn't just a group of people slaying dragons together, it's also a place where people socialise with each other, if you have a personality, you are going to fit in with the numerous other personalities currently present in the guild, we play this game because we enjoy it, and to have fun, so this is one of the most key criteria,

-possess a microphone; this isn't the most crucial point but it will help with the criteria above, we also use either ventrilo or mumble in raids, so having a microphone will certainly help and is highly recommended, you don't have to talk all the time like Porsche (you'll meet him if you're unlucky).
