“Continuum” Guild

The Basics:

The guild was formed back in February 2010 when the GM, most of officers and a bunch of players from an established 25m guild on Dragonmaw wanted to step back from the stress and management of 25m hard-core scene. Continuum was formed as a 10m guild for people that still wanted to experience the top level content, but without the management overhead of 25m and IRL sacrifices that came with hard-core raiding.


We raided Wrath and Cataclysm like a boss. Picking up some respectable rankings here and there considering our limited raid days. Highlights were the Sartharion 3 drakes Realm 3rd (only guild of those top three to kill it in 10m item-level gear, not the higher 25m item-level gear sets) and Realm 2nd Halion Heroic.


Like so many guilds, we found Mists of Pandaria to be half-hearted. As most of us had not had a break since the start of TBC we completed the first tier, then took a break as a guild until the start of Warlords.


When planning our return for Warlords, a realisation happened. Over the previous 5-6 years we had gotten older (not wiser) and had more IRL commitments than we used to – some had married, some had kids. Going back to the old ways was not as desirable as it once was and so we decided to go casual and reduce from 3 down to 2 days a week.

Many heroic bosses have died to our awesomeness in Warlords, but after only after finishing all the heroic content did we decide it was time once again to return to the top level – we are recruiting for our Mythic Roster – which we will use to clear Hellfire Citadel Mythic and continue into Legion.

Who Are these People?

The core of the guild have played together for 7+ years now, so its not just a guild to us anymore. Despite being based around the world, many of us have met up IRL over the years and we’re planning a big BBQ meet up in 2016. We like to think one of the reasons people are still here is the community, our forums are very active and with about 24,000 posts since creation – which averages at around 13 posts a day for 6 years :) For a guild that has intentionally kept a small roster of 13-15 players to avoid having to bench people too often we think that speaks for itself :)

TeamSpeak 3:
We have our own TeamSpeak 3 server and our mentality is that TS should be full of jokes and friendly banter while raiding, with people being able to settle down and focus where appropriate.


Recruitment:
We’re not just looking for people to fill spots, we’re looking for people that share the same ideals as us, who we enjoy playing with and vice versa. People in it for the long haul.
