Who we are

sUk started its life back in 2003 as a online gaming community mainly focused on FPS. In a couple of years, we became a clan hosting several games including various mmorpgs and finally we established our WoW guild on EU-Executus upon the launch of TBC. Pre-nerf, we cleared all PVE content up to RoS in BT; upon the launch of WotLK, sUk was the 5th guild of Executus, with all PVE content cleared up to Brutallus in SWP.

In WotLK, we cleared all PVE content up to UD10 and 25, leaving alive only Algalon.

ToC10/25 5/5; TogC10 4/5; ICC10 4/4; ICC25 4/4

We currently schedule our raids on Wed – Thu – Sun and Mon, starting from 21:15 server time up to 00:30.

Until recently, we have always been a 25 men raiding guild, but with lots of people stopping playing altogether or quitting the guild for various personal reasons, we had a ~ one month stop on 25 men, while still focusing on 10 men; at the current time, we are willing to come back into stable 25 men content.

We aim to be a competitive and mature guild, without being extremely hard-core as WoW ain’t a work but a game, and we have always valued the social aspects of our community, meaning we understand people having RL issues and not being able to play on all raiding nites. We still expect you to do your best and to come prepared to both progress and farm raids, consumables-, gear- and tactics-wise.

We have our own 50 slot vent server and website, complete with guild board and EQdkp site for raid scheduling and signing up.

The kind of players we're looking for

We're looking for passionate and patient players that want to be part of a good raiding team. We love players that come prepared and do their best without whining. The kind of player we want has mastered his class and a correct use of English; we also demand maturity and politeness, and of course a good sense of humour. As a consequence, we normally recruit people that is at least 18+ years old.

Gear is not a major factor when applying to us, but it is a plus. We normally tend to value experience and a good personality over raw gear, but be aware we don’t have time to bring u back to obsolete content to gear you up. If you're convinced you're the best player in your class and we'd be completely stupid to ignore your application, make a convincing argument about it and you just might end up being one of us. We don't like slackers, we don't like drama queens and we totally hate guild hoppers. We're not asking for your never-ending loyalty, but we are asking you to be honest and put some effort into this guild, along with the rest of us.

Player skill

Wow is really not a hard game. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop unfocused players from dying in every possible void zone, fire, flame wave, disease cloud and other pretty looking retard checks. While a player's personal DPS is easy to improve (we have people running WWS reports and posting them on the guild forum, where they can be studied to improve rotations, gear/gems/enchant choices, as well as capable class leaders that can and will answer your questions), we can't really fix someone's suicidal tendencies, so more often than not, we prefer to remove the said person from our ranks. We normally don’t kick people out of our guild for said errors, but our policy is going to change quickly: if we don’t see any effort, you are most likely end up at being a social member not allowed to sign up for raids.

About you, as a person

We'd like to see relaxed people that play for the fun of it and remain focused for the duration of the raid (that normally means 3 hours, 5-10 minutes breaks may come up every now and then). Having a very thick skin and a nice but discrete sense of humour will work wonders here. You should know when to speak on Vent during a raid and when to be silent without having to be told so multiple times.

Your gear

Your gear speaks about you and how much you know about your class or care about your character. Gear is extremely easy to get nowadays, but we know some players just get unlucky with rolls in pugs or drop rates. If you apply to us, make sure you have at least UD/ToC10 or 25 gear with a decent enchants and gems on it, backed up by some emblems items as well. What that means is that when you apply to us, we want to be able to look at your armory without saying "wattafok?!?". Unechanted gear, incorrectly gemmed items, 0 knowledge about your stat priorities (hit/crit/haste/ap/etc) WILL make us deny your application.

Your raid attendance

Attending over 50% will earn u the rank of “raider”, implying that you will have all possible benefits from being one of our valuable guild mates (access to gbank goodies, special discounts, some free flasks/food, etc). We use an attendance-based looting system, so the more you raid, the better will be the chances for you to have priority on loot assignments.

If you decided this is the right guild for you, please visit http://www.sukclan.org and let us know you'd like to be one of us. An application template, as well as a few application "tips and tricks" can be found there.

Thank you and good luck!
