We take pride in having a very active and social community, even outside of raiding. Our discord is always active and many of us have raided and played other games together for years. We always encourage new recruits to come and just hang out.

What we are about.
Along the way, since the creation of the guild in January 2015, we’ve learned a lot and always looked for ways to improve. We’ve always been a guild that listens to its raiders. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to contribute.

We want to:

  • Raid 3 days per week. Each raid lasts 3,5 hours, including a 10 minute break in the middle. This means we only raid 10 hours per week, so it is extremely important that you turn up prepared, on time and ready to go.
  • Be one of the best 3d/w guilds in the world. We will always strive to kill bosses as fast as possible within our raiding hours.
  • Avoid split runs. First of all, we love alts. Just not for progression. No one is required to have multiple characters to apply or maintain a raiding position in BBC News.

  • What you bring to the table.
Our ideal recruit is someone who considers himself:

  • Selfless. We don’t care about your dps, do the fight right. Killing the boss is a team effort and requires team players. You will not put personal ego ahead of the guild.
  • Dependable. We do not require you to have 100% attendance. But during progress we do expect you to put the guild ahead of other activities. This is extremely important. If you say you are coming to a raid, we expect you to be there. Attendance is one of the most important factors during progression.
  • Prepared. We try to not waste too much time during raids. Research for bosses is something you do before the raid. Once we pull the boss, we expect you to know what’s coming your way. Having extensive knowledge of your class, comes without saying.
  • Mature. You can handle criticism directed at you, even if you feel it is not warranted. Whilst we do not recruit for the bench, accept that in a guild with more than 20 players, sometimes you might have to sit out. No one has a guaranteed spot. We’ve benched tanks, healers and dpsers for a boss because we felt it improved our chances of killing it.

    Raid information:
We formed BBC News in January 2015 and have raided two full expansions together.

    Wednesday: 20:00 - 23:30
    Thursday: 20:00 - 23:30
    Sunday: 20:00 - 23:30
Raid invites go out 15 minutes before raid(19:45), you are expected to be online and at the raid 10 minutes before raid start (19:50).

We also give our players the option of raiding an extra day at the start and end of a tier to account for our generally lower raiding hours than other guilds pushing for top 100. This is always down to a guild vote and is never forced upon raiders by the officers.
