Who are we?

Ashen was formed at the end of Battle for Azeroth from the ashes of smaller guilds with less desire for progress. We have a strong and stable core of talented raiders with a desire to push for CE and realm first every tier.

Our raid environment strives to be fun but always focused, with the aim to clear all content as fast as possible while raiding 3 days a week. We are a Horde guild based on The Maelstrom connected.


What are we currently looking for?

We are not currently recruiting any specific class or spec.

That being said, we always welcome exceptional applications - we want to go strong into Shadowlands, so if you feel you can compete with our current raiders, please feel free to complete an application!

If spots are advertised. They will always be for the main progression team and you will be heavily prioritised based on your performance. Unfortunately we can never guarantee a spot, but we will always find a way for you to get play time with each tier.


Our philosophy

Raid spots are granted to players based on a combination of performance and attendance. If you are not consistently available for the bosses that your spec is optimal for, then please don't expect to have concessions made for you on other encounters. Likewise, if you are unable to outperform other players in the same role or spec then the composition will generally be built to reflect that - we always strive to reward the players who are consistently strong.

If you can prove your ability, we will make room for a player of any spec; just know that this is judged by a mixture of attitude and some flexibility with your raid spots - our main goal will always be to progress as a guild and we ask our raiders to understand that no individual is more important than the progress of the team.


Raid schedule (Server Time/CET)

Our raids heavily rely on the stability of the team to progress quickly and successfully, and as such we emphasise that players are able to consistently attend raid nights on time. This also includes being able to stay for the entire raid (though there are intermittent breaks throughout all of our raid times so players aren’t required to sit still for the entire evening). If you don’t feel you could do this reliably, it is unfortunate that this will likely be a dealbreaker.

*At the start of raid tiers the first two weeks of mythic progress will include a 4th raid day.

Invites start 15 minutes before the raid start time. This should be where all grouping preparations are made before the first pull. This includes, to allow for people logging on late, setup adjustments and other nuances. We encourage people to be outside the raid instance prior to invites so as to be mentally prepared for the mindset of raiding from the first pull.


Where do I apply?

If you consider yourself exceptional and feel you can challenge our current raiders, then do not let our class-based recruitment hinder you, we welcome the opportunity to integrate top quality players into our roster. Gear and logs are typically not an issue - the transfer fee is your money: if you think you can prove yourself in a trial we will usually give you one. However, do note that during progression we will not be farming old content (or any content) to gear you up - if you apply during progression you will need to have sufficient gear to dive into new content and logs to prove your ability.
