Distortion (Horde)

Distortion (http://distortion-eu.guildlaunch.com) is a guild on the Nordrassil server, formed by a solid core of good friends who have raiding experience from the beginnings of WoW up to Lich King in Icecrown Citadel and everything in between

Guild Aims

We are a progressive hardcore raiding guild, whilst at the time genuinely retaining a social and friendly atmosphere in guild, I know all guilds say this, but unlike many "hardcore" guilds, we mean it, its more important to us to have fun that to be server 1st. The guild will set regular goals and focus on hardmodes and achievements, whilst at the same time having fun progressing as a group. We are aiming for a balanced class makeup of between 10 and 15 players and will maintain a rotation system for loot and bosses, even for trials, so everyone gets the chance to see the latest content. Although our current focus will be on progress in ICC, members should also expect the opportunity to complete some older achievements, in Naxxaramas, Ulduar and others on off days. Alts

Alts will be welcome and free to do alt runs even in the hardest end game content, as long as it remains fun, its all good. Several of the officers and other members have already stepped up to organise such runs, and they've been both successful and entertaining.


Raid Schedule

Our official raid days are Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays, with alt runs regularly organised on off days. Raids run from 20:00 server time until 23:30, although will sometimes continue until 00:00 at the latest if a progression boss is close to going down.


What we expect from our members

- A mature but friendly attitude; flaming and blatantly arrogant or abusive behaviour is not welcome, and if that's your style, you wont fit in anyway, so please dont apply.
- Regular attendance of a a minimum of 2 out of 3 days.
- A high level of knowledge of your class, backed up by gear, enchants and gems fit for the latest tier of content in both your main and offspec.
- A solid level of knowledge, skill and willingness to use your offspec to assist guild progression depending on the encounter.
- Enough gold to not have to worry about repair bills, and you always come fully prepared and on time to raids, and ready to wipe multiple times if it's a progression boss.
- Ventrilo, a working mic, and an understanding of English.
- A decent computer with a stable connection.
