“Solar Flare” Guild

Solar Flare is a progression focused guild centered around a long-lasting, tight-knit community. Our goal each tier is to get all of our raiders Cutting Edge, and not to push world rankings. Nevertheless, we have done pretty respectably at the latter regardless; our greatest ranking being 759 in Antorus in Legion. Our community plays a lot of other games on the side as well and sometimes organizes little community tournaments for them!

The Raiding aspect
Our raid team is definitely progression-focused, but we try to balance that try-hard mindset as much as possible with simply having a good time and having a laugh over our failures rather than brooding over them. If you're the sort of person who prefers a relaxed raid atmosphere then our guild would be a great place for you. For us, its very important that our players feel like they can make mistakes and improve on them without being showered with criticism and disappointed sighs.

That said, we expect you to come prepared for new bosses having researched the mechanics on your own. We do not force our players to get a certain amount of m+ done each week, but many of our raiders do so anyway to remain competitive. As long as we're killing bosses on time for CE, we're happy. Since we only raid 2 days per week, we put a lot of effort into minimising wasted time to ensure our raids are as efficient as possible.


The Social aspect
We're a fairly happy-go-lucky kind of guild, and large parts of our community have raided together (and under the Solar Flare name!) since Wrath and Mists. We play lots of other games between raid nights such as League, CS:GO, Valorant, Apex, Runescape with more. We have also been known to organize little tournaments in these respective games whenever we have enough people playing them at a time.

Despite this long history of friendship and gaming together, we make it our utmost priority to have new players feel welcome into our group. If you join Solar Flare we want you to feel like you're as much a part of the community as we are from Day 1 - if you want to be that is! It's also completely fine to just join for the raiding aspect.

Guild History
Our guild has been around since Trial of The Crusader in Wrath. We've raided in every single expansion since then, though not for every single tier. We've done casual raiding, hardcore raiding pushing ranks and everything in between. In the end we settled on 2 day raiding for Shadowlands since none of us are particularly intersted in pushing ranks and would prefer just to see and enjoy the Mythic content in WoW without the stress that comes with hardcore raiding.
