Community of friends and Heroic raid team on a 2 day schedule!

“Gambit” was founded in April 2021 under the name “Journey” by a group of old X-Cutting Edge raiding friends wanting to reconnect and create an enjoyable Mythic raiding team. In early 2022 we went through a transition in the leadership as we wanted to expand our focus towards building a small tight knit community and not just running a raid team. Fast forward to March 2023 and the ever looming recruitment issues of Mythic teams we decided to disband the Mythic raid team and put our full focus into the enjoyment of exploring content while it's fresh, without the long Mythic progression grind that follows. As such we transformed our team into a Heroic raid team, which of course saw some raiders move on to still pursue Mythic, but the majority stayed as the friends they made here weight heavier than pursuing Mythic progression. Our raiding goals are now to clear each raid tier in good pace, doing the raid achievements and collecting some gear along the way while it's still enjoyable, followed by raiding breaks between tiers where we can enjoy other activies in- and outside WOW, such as playing other games together ie. which a good deal of our community does!

Having fun with friends is key to our community, and as such we have zero tolerance towards toxic behavior and misplaced egos. We all play the game for enjoyment and to achieve our goals together. We don’t obsess over meta and bench people for being the wrong class, but remain realistic about what is required to beat certain fights and will work with our team to adapt to the content that is thrown our way. That being said, performance obviously matters and we expect each and everyone to hold their own and carry their weight. We also expect raiders to always strive towards improving and being the best they can be, but we work hard on keeping the atmosphere positive, as having fun while raiding is the key to the longevity of the raid team.

We are always working to maintain a roster of like-minded players that know how to have fun, but also know to hold their own and never expect others to carry them as that is detrimental to the enjoyment for all!

Raid schedule (server time):

Monday 20:00 - 23:00

Thursday 20:00 - 23:00

Optional Normal mode raid on an off-night same time for as long as NM farm is considered relevant at the beginning of a tier (Not mandatory). We know most want to clear NM each week for gear early in new tiers, so why not do it together so all the gear lands within our team ;)

We will have a break roughly halfway through the night.

Loot system

We use group loot as we no longer find the hassle of loot council worth it having swapped focus from Mythic to Heroic raiding. We do expect our raiders to have the team in mind and not selfishly keep all loot if it is a minor upgrade to you but a major upgrade to someone else - common sense is expected! Raiders always come before trials in loot distribution for loot being passed around.
