“Blacklight” Guild

The history of Blacklight starts from early TBC:


The former name of the guild was MarauderS and we were based on Emeriss - EU. We managed to achieve the attunement for BT before its removal and finally had Both BT/MH on farm before 3.0.


After 3.0 we moved to Outland - EU, and renamed the guild Blacklight and cleared up to Kil'Jaeden before WoTLK.
At the start of ICC we migrated to Executus – EU, this was due to the enormous amount of server lag. As a last achievement we managed to clear the 25 man heroic content before the start of Cataclysm and established ourselves as the 2nd best Guild on the server.

Our latest and hopefully last migration is due to the death of Executus – EU. Unfortunately the realm population there has reduced steadily since the end of TBC and by the middle of Cataclysm we were forced to move to another realm - Twisting Nether - due to the fact that we were no longer able to recruit skilled players on Executus.


At start of Mists of Pandaria we started very slow clearing 6/16 hc for 5.0, and then 11/13 hc in TOT.


Current Blacklight:

If you wish to be a part of Blacklight, you need to be the following:

- Know your class. If you haven't played it since TBC that's fine, but understand what stats are important to you, what your class's role is on each encounter and be able to adapt to situations quickly. Being properly gemmed and enchanted is obligatory.
- Motivated. We want players who look forward to raid times and who want to progress on difficult encounters. We are not interested in players who care only for loot.
- Responsible. When you're unable to make a raid, you let the officers know well in advance so that we can adapt accordingly. We have a tight roster and need to know when players may not be able to make it.
- Mature. We use a loot council system. Whoever wins an item wins it because it is for the good of the raid and for progress - we are not about personal favouritism. Loot is seen as a tool, not the ultimate reward.
- Friendly. We're a social guild as well as a raiding one and we want players who are able to communicate well with each other and have fun raiding together. Having a good personality will go a long way!

Sunday (19.30-22.30)
Wednesday (19.30-22.30)
Optional days
Monday (19.30-22.30)

We do additional activities on off-days for members who are interested, such as Mythic+ runs, heroics, pvp or runs for transmogrification gear. There is always something to do here. We are a large guild with a lot of active members. Beyond the raiding team we are also a happy and social guild!
